Portal series is a given, but I feel LA Noire has become one of those games that helps mental midgets feel intelligent. if you go on any board and criticize this game you'll inevitably get the 'lmao go play call of duty' and 'its not GTA or RDR, omg do reasearch before you buy' and 'this game is for mature people'. what i dont get is the whole accusation of being a call of duty fanboy if you dont like a certain game. where did all these elitist COD haters come from?

I think L.A. Noire is simply more about perception than intelligence. Though sometimes making connections may take a little bit of noggin scratchin' :P
Civilization and Rome: Total War, as the other guy said, come to my mind. . You conquest the barbarian as the Julli and you fell like "take that, Julius Caesar, I'm a better general than you!".
When he engages your siege line, and he realizes his broodlords are suddently flanked by your vikings, while he's losing all his drones to your marine drops...it makes you feel pretty damn intelligent. Starcraft 2.

Puzzle games (or games with Puzzles) - Meteos, Layton, Minesweeper Strategy games - Warcraft(not WoW), Fire Emblem, Advance Wars etc Adventure games - Phoenix Wright, Hotel Dusk, Grim Fandango

I'd say any RPG that actually requires thinking.:P I'm getting tired of shooters... Man I should cop Witcher 2 instead of wasting my money on shooters I missed out on.:x
Its one of my favorite games and I enjoy the story a lot, but most MGS2 fanatics will say you are simply too dumb to understand the game if you dont like it. It has a very elitist following.
Now I will say that usually when I hear people complain about MGS2 they actually dont understand it lol, but that doesnt mean that every person that dislikes the game is dumb.
wow makes me feel intelligent. i absolutely love staring at my screen while i get globaled by mages and cant do anything about it. i mean, what better way to play a game than to just stare at your character as he dies? game is brilliant.
i think the conversations are a little vague in LA noire otherwise i think it would be great, but more oftent then not it feels more of a random choice unless i have the exact evidence i need to prove they are lieing.
