Games that will ever die?

Lets do a little experiment. Go to Amazon.com in 2 tabs. On one tab type in Final Fantasy 8, the other Final fantasy 7. Notice something...odd? For starters FF8 is 12.50$ new and 10$ used. Pretty usual for a 10 year old game. Now look at FF7. 150$ new and 54.99$ used! Why is that? Go to the Gamefaqs main page and FF7 is hoovering around the number 3 spot. Go to the PSN store and FF7 is the number one download. It seems after 11 1/2 years this game is still amazingly popular among gamers including myself. This is just one example of an immortal game. What are some others?

the Starcraft battlechest is still $20 on amazon...and sold in pretty much every store.

The Diablo battlechest is still $35...and sold in pretty much every store.

FF7 was what many consider the start of RPG gaming itself.... total bull IMO because Ive played better SNES RPGs than FFVII but w/e, its an overrated but decent game....

My only guess is that the reason for this high price is either because the jewel case is difficult to keep in good condition or you are mistakenly looking at the PC version (which is fairly rare).

Because FF7 was probably the only or first RPG people have started with. Not to mention FF8 is a love or hate game. Just like 12.siLVURcross
