I would say Detroit Become Human. The initial trailers shown last year made the game look really unique and promising. After e3 it seems like they are making this game like infamous with gimmicky gameplay elements such as choosing good or evil. Now my hype level is lower but hopefully it will recover. How about you,SW? Any games you became de-hyped for after e3?

Destiny 2-I was really hype for the next game but after looking at the ultimate edition, gameplay, and hardly anything improve, I back out ASAP when I lay my eyes on Anthem and so with that, Destiny 2 hype has drop below.

Crackdown 3-Didn't see much from it but my hype is average but I'm sure it'll spike up when MS goes to Gamecom in the upcoming months.

Cuphead-I been hype since last year but for some reasons, I saw the release date and now, I lost the hype for it but nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to how it all turns out.

Looks way too much "The Walking Dead" like and that biker guy from the E3 gameplay reminds me The Saviors from season 7.

Call of Duty WW2 - The trailers I had seen and the info before seeing gameplay made it sound really good.

Even the multiplayer trailer was really well made and I liked a lot of what I was seeing: faction specific weapons, teamplay, team objectives, ...

Then the next day I started seeing gameplay from E3 and I couldn't believe what I was seeing, I was watching this gameplay alongside friends and we showed all kinds of reactions, but disappointment most of all. There is one friend I have that liked what he was seeing, but I was not impressed, to say the least.

The gameplay showed the same old solo-action based drivel, showed a total lack of teamplay, showed a total lack of tactics, showed very underwhelming map design... It had US soldiers running around with supressed MP40s, Germans were running around with red dot sight BARs, Snipers magically reloaded with a stripper clip eventhough they got a scope on the weapon.

I didn't see anything in this game that made it seem that it was going back to its roots. It looks nothing like MOHAA or COD 1 or 2. Or any of the great online WW2 games I ever played.

Don't know what battle the newest Call of Duty is taking place in, but it sure isn't World War 2.

I still hope the singleplayer will turn out somewhat decent, but everything I've seen so far looks wholy underwhelming.

God of War. Its initial announcement last year was underwhelming but I thought I should give it a chance and see if the game gets interesting, but this E3 pretty much was the same thing. A game driven purely by story with horrendously mediocre combat, I'd be better off watching a youtube lets play because it will provide me with equal entertainment, minus forking out €60 for it (and €400 for a PS4).

I wasn't hype for CoD WW2 but I did took an interest in the game before E3 2017 started and boy, when I too saw the gameplay vids and tried to get everything out of it, I wasn't impress at all, it look like WW2 was downgraded, even if that was the PC showing. From the impressions I gleamed. A lot of people that I talk to are really disappointed in this Call of Duty. It's def not getting the hype and love Battlefield 1 did during it's reveals last year. At this point, the only way I'll get back into any WW2 game is if EA revives Medal of Honor.

From some reactions on youtube I saw COD fans are going mad over this one. Like genuine COD fans that didn't want the gameplay changed at all but did want the setting changed (from modern, scifi to WW2)

And I mean great for those people that they got what they wanted. But none of what I saw in this COD appeals to me. It's not what I want out of a war game ... at all.

Lucky for me there are still great tactical war games that focus on teamplay like:

Day of Infamy

Rising Storm 2

I'm open for any FPS that is set in WW1, WW2 or Vietnam :D

A new Medal of Honor or Red Orchestra would be cool. But MOH can not go after COD >:(

The only game where my hype level dropped a bit was Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. I was hoping that it would look a bit better but the game plays very well and I'm still looking forward to getting it. The surprise showing of Dragon Ball Fighter Z made my hype for MvsCI drop a bit too because that game looks really awesome.

I love how a lot of these posts are basically full of circlejerkfest that they claim they were de-hyped of a game they already wanted to fail anyway.

I really wasn't de-hyped by a lot of things, because I had basically zero expectations for a lot of games, but I gotta say, Fire Emblem Warriors seems lacking a lot of things, specifically non-sword-wielding characters. I've been saying, all the protags for FE games were sword characters, and the only exception is my bro Ephraim and my girl Eirike who has rapier, which should handle differently in a Musou game. But Sacred Stones got no love in the game, they are clinging onto the Awakening-Fates again like Heroes. This game needs to work mostly with original characters, and quit trying to be like Heroes where they try to bring characters from other worlds, other than maybe Marth. Also it's missing a lot of troop types from fliers, archers, armour knights, mages, etc. and at this point, it's more like FEA and FEF characters got sucked into a Musou world rather than the game being set in a Fire Emblem-esque universe like the game is trying to push. So much bloody potential, and all I'm seeing is a subpar Musou game, and really, I probably will get it because it's Musou, but still, disappointed. But it's not like I was expecting much.

My only fear is, I'm seeing Cuphead becoming another No Man's Sky situation and I'm very caution with the game this time around. Not gonna buy it on launch until I see legit reviews first.

@funsohng: I admit that I felt a little underwhelmed by the game-play footage of Xenoblade 2. I am still very much interested in playing the game as I enjoyed both previous entries. I guess the less flashy animations of Xenoblade 2 make it look less spectacular to look at than Xenoblade Chronicles X with all the sliding and dramatic flips. I still have faith in the core game-play.

I had little to no hype for the new uncharted stand alone, but after I saw it, I was more or less completely turned off. Already know what this will be and as a video game fan it's a big meh. A couple hours of hand holding gameplay and probably twice that length in cutscenes... So ready for that approach to die.

I don't think I have a lesser view of anything I saw at E3 this year than I had before it. Mostly, I'm more hyped for games I wasn't previously hyped about or about least more interested. I usually find if hype drops for me it'll be closer to a game's release when we see more of it.

I had no hype for Crackdown, but it looked damned embarrassing.

Call me crazy. I had a good deal of hope for CoD WW2. I thought they would have taken advantage of 3 year dev cycle and WW2 reboot to *finally* revamp the engine, to actually make a "next gen" Call of Duty. My hope was obviously misplaced. Just looks like the same game, back in WW2.

It looked alright as your standard zombie action-adventure fair. But I chuckled a bit during the demo about him unleashing a horde of zombies to "rescue" his friend. That very much reminded me of Walking Dead i.e. the stupidest elements of walking dead, where they send a horde of zombies as part of their "rescue" plan, sending zombies right into the place where they are trying to rescue their friends... makes no sense at all. I actually think that was Fear the Walking dead, but whatever.

Hopefully that was at least optional tactics the player used, and it can be used in in different ways, rather than as a scripted requirement. If you can use the zombies in multiple different ways or just deal with the human opponents directly, that might be interesting I guess. The animations of the zombie horde were a bit janky though. Not Dead Rising bad... but not good. I didn't like that they were fast moving.

I saw Crackdown's gameplay, it looked much better than the trailer would have you believe. So it's hype was 're-flated'.

I have to agree with others about COD: WW2. I just need to see some campaign gameplay but the MP looked exactly like all the previous CODs with a WW2 skin.

Far Cry 5 was also disappointing to me because it (again) looked like a copy/paste of the past few Far Crys. Literally zero change in mechanics, the game doesn't seem to have a significant graphics update either. AC on the other hand looks pretty awesome. I love that they're willing to make changes like with the combat and other mechanics.

Crackdown was a big let-down for me. I was hoping to see something unique and whizzbang tech-wise and what we were shown was a complete gaiden from what was promised.

Anthem has completely speared Destiny 2 in the throat. I was very tepid about D2 to begin with but now it is completely out of consideration until I see something that would hook me again.

Not to switch categories, but I thought the XoneX reveal was awful.

Powerful but I'm not seeing anything special that separates itself from PS4 Xone/XoneS/Pro/PC.

I agree if it's a shortish game. That gameplay would have been fine if it were an open world RPG, actually that would have been badass. I guess we'll see, the devs are still claiming it has "RPG elements". So it might meet somewhere in the middle. Gameplay doesn't look "bad" per-se, but definitely not the hack n' slash God of War fans might expect, looks alot more methodical. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm trying to think of a game I was actually hyped for before E3 that I'm now not excited for...

Destiny 2 could be one, but I think I was disappointed by this at its original reveal.

I guess Spider-Man's showing deflated my hype a little bit; I know that the showing was centered around a cinematic moment in the game, but goodness did the chase bore me. I still have an eye on it.
