The past decade or two has shown that Holywood has been experimenting with video-game based movies. Though, the results have been somewhat lackluster thus far, the industry today is much stronger than it has ever been and the technology for creating alternate realities has had significant advancements in the last decade. So I ask you, what video games do you think would make good movies and why?

List of game-based movie:

Mass Effect, as long as it is a different story then what they are currently presenting in the video games. Space operas almost make good movies or tv shows :P

Well, after shedding million tears on account of the $550 million-success that is the MW2, I think Hollywood would like a COD movie.

But could they recycle a story that gamers will already know? Or do they have to come up with a new one? Or heaven forbid, exercise "creative license" to change the story how they see fit?

Of course it will be changed, you are taking a game that is 6-7 hours long and changing it to hour and a half to two hours.

These: 1. Metroid - Megan Fox/Angelina Jolie is all over Samus Aran 2. Uncharted: Chris Pine/Chris Evans should be Drake 3. Zelda - Just think about it, it would be very good 4. Ratchet & Clank - Pixar would have a field day

No no no, I am not talking about that, I mean fundamentally alter the story to the director's view. It has been done before.
