Everyone loves Portal 1 and 2 for this, I find a few of the lines in Uncharted 1, 2, and 3 funny, and Dragon Age: Origins is hilarious at moments.

But Grand Theft Auto games always will have the funniest comedic writing. Just great parodies and reflections put into seemless conversations.

Point and click used to be the king of humour. Day of the tentacle and Flight of the amazon queen et al.

There isn't enough humour in games I feel. A bit of tongue in cheek comedy would go down well. Something poking fun at the utter ridiculousness of a lot of games.

Believe it or not, one of the funniest games I've played in years was a crappy Atlus beatemup on DS called Tokyo Beatdown. It was just corny in all the right ways- from the cheesy one liners all the way down to characters' names(Like senior officer Lewis Cannon).

Yeah I agree. Portal 1 & 2 are great, but I think the GTA games have to be the best.

Old World Blues, and Portal 2 come to mind.

(And GTA: EFLC; love listening to the radio on that game)

Out of the recent ones, Kid Icarus is very funny. Phoenix Wright series is good for laughs, but it can also get tense :P

Most Nintendo RPGs, mainly Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi and Earthbound. The most recent Pokemon games seem to be taking similar cues which is encouraging.

Monkey Island followed by GTA and Bad Company.

I want a Bad Company adventure game so the dialog can be front and center.

Portal 2 also had superb writing, though with so few characters it was easy to get a bit tired of each of them.

Yeah,him too.
"Hello, I'm Fernando Martinez. I think, by now you know I am an emotional kind of guy. People stop me in the street and say: "Fernando, what the hell is wrong with me? "

Read it in his voice

Conker's Bad Fur Day was pretty hilarious back in the day.

House of the Dead: Overkill is one of the funniest games I've played in a long time. If you like stupid, gross and immature humour you should check it out. When me and my friend played it, we were laughing all the way through.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is littered with chuckle-worthy dialogue. The exchanges between Pit and Magnus in Chapter 2 come to mind. For unintentionally funny, there was Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009. Everything about that game's story mode came together to create something so mundane and yet so strange that I couldn't help but laugh at it.

Nah, kozzy. The Sam & Max series (at least Hit The Road and a couple of the new ones) have excellent writting for what they are trying to portrey - comedy.
