Games with the most underrated graphics, this gen?

Well yeah, get to it.

My personal picks are Metroid Prime 3 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

Metroid Prime 3 just looks so fantastic and Double Agent was quite impressive( African level/ character models anyone?). Only problem with DA was the terrible framerate :P

I thought dead rising had pretty good graphics considering all of those zombies on screen. Damn good graphics. The Darkness looks amazing with the demons coming out of you and ripping peoples hearts out, its just awesome, yup some good graphics there. I also think that Mario Galaxy had some wicked graphics considering it was on the Wii. I never thought a game could look like that on the Wii.

A lot of people have trashed its visuals. Are you offended that I am a fan of the game and speak highly of it? Sorry, but I'll continue to do so, because it's received a bum rap. Also, I hate Saints Row, so I am not going to state something that's inaccurate over a game I'm not even a fan of. It was a fantastic looking sandbox game when I played it.

I will admit that it isn't close to the best looking game out today, but damn, to say that its hideous is just ignorant.

Wow, are you new to gaming or something? Peoples standards are really high this gen for some reason, its ridiculous! What do you do for games? just sit on a PC and replay Crysis over and over again? Why did you even bother buying a Wii? By your standards all of the games on the Wii look below "hideous".

Like I said, the zombies lack some detail, but the background to this day are some of the cleanest most detailed you'll find. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of games that smoke DR overall, but the graphics are impressive before factoring in the ridiculous amount of characters on screen. FerdMertz

Guild Wars was a beauty for 2k4 when it came out (or was it 2k5, i cant remember).

anyway, i dont think LOTRO (lord of the rings online) or the witcher get enough credit. beautiful art.

also, for a launch game, COD 2 really holds up.

Yea, I agree. The textures are amazing and so are the water effects. The lighting is also phenomenal. I don't know why it gets ripped on for having bad graphics. Maybe people think its too colourful?
