I tend to agree that games without realism ARE more fun, depends on the genre obviously.
Just look what happened when they added physics to Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog).... *FLUSH*.

BambooBanger
i know but i still like them. must be cause i grew up with sonic
For example I much prefer the Burnout series rather than Grand Turismo.
STABW0UND
I do too. Mostly because you can go faster than five miles per hour and still turn your car in Burnout.
Completely agreed. SMB3 has nothing to do with the real world, but it's the most fun I've ever had with a game by far.
Really, when you think about it, though, is a game like Half-Life or Halo "realistic." The gravity gun is one of the looniest things I've ever seen. It's got "realistic" physics and graphics, but it's far from being "real."
DO I SMELL DAMAGE FROM UNCHARTED BEING SO HOT!!!G10mgs4
probably not.. if I want realism.. i'll walk outside. Its really real, and real cold.

Do I smell methane seeping out of this Cow's anus ?!!!
it depends on the game, if it's great every body will love it even if you hate its genere, I liked Mario and The Leneged Of Zelda games, they're my favorite, and on the other side I loved CoD4 and GTA:SA.
btw, the most stupid poll I've ever seen.
I agree for the most part. Theres one exception: Horror games. These games need to be as realistic as possible and have slight variables to scare the crap out of you.
And i wouldnt consider something like GTA to be realistic?
