The DS is far more exciting than the Wii this year. A new Advance Wars, Apollo Justice, and Fire Emblem DS. It's an awesome year if you are a DS owner.

Wii? Not so much.

The Wii looks set to justify my reason for purchase this year, that is a range of quirky, innovative and original titles similar to or even exceeding the hidden gems that graced the Gamecube last-gen.

So far I am anticipating the following: Opoona, Mushroom Men, Disaster: Day of Crisis, de Blob, Fragile, King Story, Eternity's Child, Oboro Muramasa Youtoden, NiGHTS, BWii, Zack & Wiki, Fire Emblem, Spore and No More Heroes. Then there are the big name first party titles such as Mario Kart Wii, SSBB and Wii Fit. The first-party line-up seems a bit sparse at present so I'm guessing Ninty have a number of unannounced games in the works.

Hopefully Nintendo will release Pikmin 3 sometime soon, because I really can't wait much longer for the sequel to one of my favorite games ever made.
