Games you hated that everyone loved.

I hate so many what is considered 'good' games because they usually are boring, stale, and tidious, but have a M rating, and get overrated. I feel like most of the games this generations are especially boring, besides a few. Here is my list of games I hated.

Resident Evil series, and resident evil 4:

this game was boring, I couldn't even get through the first level, before I got bored, and turned the game off.

Another boring, boring series, and hate this game especialy. I don't understand what is good about the stealth genre(except for sly series)

Gran turismo/Forza series-I hate realistic sim racers, boring games that aren't fun. You never feel like you are driving a real car, and arcade racers are usually/always more exciting.

Overrated series:Every franchise series is overrated.

Prince of Persia: Sands Of Time

Hm... I wouldn't say I hated these games but I never understood why they were so big. World of Warcraft and Runescape. I did play both. I might even play WoW every now and then if it wasn't for it's absurd monthly charges. DA_B0MB

i dont know if hate is the right word, but games that get more props than deserve are GTA and Zelda series.

Oblivion, the most over-rated (unmodded version of course) piece of trash rpg I have ever seen.. It really doesn't even have character development elements worth mentioning. No story worth mentioning, quests with out choice, no consquences aside from breaking the law, leveled enviroment, leveled gear, no risk vs reward.. And the ability to do 99% of the entire game at level 2 aside from the dozen or so optional shrine quests.

COD4 is another game I think highly over-rated at least singleplayer wise.. THe narrative was pretty good but the over the top linearity made me sick.. And this is coming from some one that enjoyed linear shooters like Half life series, FEAR, Riddick etc etc.. It was just something that I got hugely annoyed about.. Maybe it was the fact that doors had to be opened by my team mates, or that you had to go across a certain point to stop infinite respawns of guys, or the unrealistic amount of guys they threw at you...

You're doing yourself a great disservice here. It starts off a bit slow, but after the first little village it gets amazing.

You're doing yourself a great disservice here. It starts off a bit slow, but after the first little village it gets amazing.

Try it on the Wii version, the controls are far superior to anything a gamepad can do.

Yeah OOT was another one I couldn't understand why people said it was so amazing. I really missed the boat on that one though... I wish I could have played in when it came out in the late 90's. I probably would have appreciated it so much more than when I gave it a shot in 2007 :( ... Oh well.

Im going to assume that you're both talking about the series as a whole, why do people make the mistake of calling Smash "SSBB" no matter which game of the 3 they are referring to? I mean, how hard is it to distinguish between SSBM and SSBB :?

Well halo and maybe even Fable but to a lesser extent than halo. I felt like i was the only one in my school that totally hated halo and disliked fable. I guess i was the only one who played Unreal tourny and Halflife in my school and knows that they copied most good aspects of both games.

Call of Duty 4. The most overrated game I have ever played. Battlefield 2 was miles better, even the Modern Combat version.TMontana1004

While I don't 'hate' the following I guess I just like them less than most people do:

Halo, Doom 3, Wind Waker.
