After playing Ninja Gaiden, DMC, and Bayonetta, my love for the God of War series greatly diminished because of how shallow the combat was in comparison.

I fear my enjoyment of FF14 A Realm Reborn has been dented by the six years I spent playing Warcraft. In comparison, ARR is a horrid, sluggish, consolized MMO that only really succeeds in terms of music & fan service. I agree with the OP on FF6 and any FF from 10 onwards (I do like 7 & 9), and of course with Baldur's Gate 2 & DA:O.

Ninja Gaiden Black ruined all subsequent ninja gaiden games. I always found the Resistance and Killzone series laughable after years of playing Halo mulitplayer. Likewise playing Battlefield 3 on the PC made the console versions look comically terrible not just in graphics but scale, gameplay, everything.
