Games you wish were never cancelled.

The obvious answer for most of us will be DNF, so let's try and think of things other than that eh?

Anyway, my pick has got to me the new Road Rash which was in development. I remember reading about it in a magazine ages ago, back in like 2007 and I just came across early development footage of it, I think it's pretty safe to assume it's cancelled given how there has been nothing on it and this footage only got leaked recently.

Well from what I've read the project isn't cancelled 100% its just been placed on perma-hold and placed on a shelf in a back room :P So there is always a chance it will be made. But If it is made it would have massive engine changes.

Enemy in Sight. The first footage for it was mistaken to be leaked video from the then-unknown CoD4 title, and it looked amazing. It depicted a Russian invasion of Paris, and everything looked quite solid. I'm always a fan of Cold War alternate histories, and this game looked like it was going to be the Red Storm Rising of games. Sadly, it got the boot.

I read the gameinformer article on it. the game sounded awesome, very dark and bleak with a revenge tale and filled with a cast of mutated animal mobsters.

my personal dissapointment was the cancellation of City of the Dead. It was an open world zombie apocolyspe FPS, but they were slow George Romero zombies, and everything was dynamic and very physics based.

It was getting flamed too much, but I was really looking forward to Six Days in Fallujah. I read a couple-paged article about it in Gamepro; it was going to have COMPLETELY destructible environments, and was going to be focused more on the horrors of war. They were calling it survival horror. I'm sure it would have been a damn good game if it weren't for all the politically correct bastards who were unaware that the soldiers who fought that battle requested the game be made.

- Shenmue 3 - Half-Life (Dreamcast)(Why do I care so much about an inferior version of a PC FPS? I'm not sure, but I would have loved to have been able to play it on Dreamcast.) - Starcraft: Ghost - Fallout 3 (Van Buren) - Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans - Deus Ex (Dreamcast)(See Half-Life) - Saboteur (PS1) - Fear Effect Inferno (I loved the original Fear Effect, wanted to get into the franchise deeper, found Double Helix, and then got disappointed when I found out Inferno was canned) - The Dark Knight (c'mon...the movie was awesome, and I've always thought it deserved a real game based on it) - The Phantom (okay, it's not a game, but it was a promising looking system nonetheless) - Apple Pippin (not technically canceled, but made in such limited quantities that it might as well have been; again, a console and not a game) jalexbrown

I was thinking about games that were previewed before the launch of the 360 and PS3 and I was thinking "what the hell was that game with that statue..." I thought it might have just been a game that went under the radar, but I see now that it was canceled. Sad.

Well my first was going to be Duke Nukem forever, but since we are looking at other games then Starcraft Ghost looked really good. Would have liked to see Locomotion 2 also.
