I gotta go with Outcast 2, I was really enjoying the game but got carried away by other games.
Still planning to return to it soon-ish, what about you?
I need to properly finish the Tomb Raider Collection.
if anything think it's symptomatic of the amount of content I got for £24. An unusually rare win for the consumer.
I started CP2077 on Steam Deck recently. It’s 100X better than I was expecting so far. Unfortunately (not really) work this time of year mixed with all the holiday parties and family stuff doesn’t allow much time for gaming. I’m also getting back into music production after a 17 year hiatus. So most of my free time will soon be consumed with that. Also gonna start teaching my 10 year old music theory/rudimental drumming. That’ll be fun especially because my wife and I share that expertise.
Noticing a trend lol. How do you folks use Discord to find groups of people to game with? I really would like to get back into some games like Helldivers 2 and Darktide but everyone is like "bro just use Discord" and I don't know where to start.
Helldivers 2... I had to force myself away from it to experience other games, but I wish I could spend a week straight playing that baby...
This.
I just didn't have time to sink into another "forever" game (i.e. one I just play every single damn day for hours lol).
Between the WoW expansion and getting back into Diablo 4, and Factorio Space Age release, I just can't play any more forever/sandbox games.
@TheEroica: You should start Playing Helldivers 2 again. The Illuminate are a ton of fun!
Also, while it is a live service game, this is a game where I can play a crap ton for a while, take a break and then come back to without feeling like I missed a whole lot. The War bonds are always there so there's no pressure to buy ASAP or anything

I'm of the same mind of Eroica and @mrbojangles25
I love spending time in Helldivers 2, but when none of my friends are online, or I don't have anyone to play with, my interest wanes and I move on to something else.
Luckily, whenever there is a big update or a new warbond that drops, a lot of my friends return. Same thing happened with Battlefield in the past.
So yeah the last few weeks, me and my friends weren't really playing. I talked to them a few days before the surprise announcement but we weren't really motivated to start back up.
And then the Illuminate dropped, which was such an excellent update, and I managed to rack up 6.5 hours, all with friends.

Enjoy all those paradiddles, flam taps, 5 stroke rolls, & triple ratamacues :) Cant wait for when mine get older
I haven't played any online multiplayer games in about 2 years now. Starting to miss it a little, but I usually end up feeling like single player is less a waste of my time. Might re-install Rocket League over Christmas time, just have to be careful I don't get addicted.... too many nights of playing that until 1am and not getting enough sleep
@templecow90999: My oldest is 10. Then I have a 7 year old some and a 5 year old daughter. Even at those ages, the drumsticks turn into weapons real quick.
I’ve taken all my kids to local drumline competitions. They seem moderately interested so far. I don’t really wanna push it too hard because the activity, indoor drumline as well and drum corps, are kinda dying off. But it’s still really fun stuff. I would rather them get really invested in something they can apply to a career. There’s not much money to be made in marching percussion. I gave it a pretty good shot back in the early 2000’s

Did you march with a core?
My undergrad was in percussion at Temple University in Philly. I've taught lessons and gigged on the side since graduating. Never marched a season myself, but have had a few students that marched Troopers and Reading Buccaneers. I was snare section leader at Temple my jr and sr years and captain my sr year. Got to compose warmups, cadences, & tunes a good amount too!

I didn’t do DCI, but marched DCA with the Syracuse Brigadiers in 2003. (RIP). I did WGI in high school and was in the NorthCoast Academy (RIP) snareline from 2003-2006. I was the percussion caption head at 3 different high schools until 2007, and did various arrangements for a few indoor competitive drumlines. I was real close to making that a career, but the money kinda spooked me. I was ALWAYS teaching somewhere and taught private lessons as well. And over the summer I had to work a couple part time jobs to make ends meet between seasons. I said F that and joined the military.
I only did 1 season of college marching band. It was a division II school and the band wasn’t very good. Looking back I wish I would have taken it more seriously though. There were some good peeps there
There is no game I played this year that I wished I played more. I had played enough of The Legend of Zeld: Echoes of Wisdom by beating the final boss and collecting almost everything before I decided to stop as I moved on to other interests.
Knockout City. Velen released a private server version after the game shut down, and it's all being kept alive by fans now. But that won't last forever, and I want to get some more time into this while it's still populated. Other games demand attention too though, and my free time is limited.

Been a while since I played a sports game, but I do keep thinking about going back to SSX.
The Outer Wilds and Pentiment. I started both early in the year, got sidetracked, and have now totally lost my place in them.
BG3. It's not a game you can just play for a quick 30 mins. It really needs longer sessions. It's going to be hectic this week too unfortunately but next week should be quiet. So I should be able to get stuck back into it.
Get some family members on board and coop that game :)
