Sony this "company" are they really the best Gaming company. that depends on what you are talking about. in terms of hardware they do a good job . but in terms of Actual games they make are they good at that. that answer is easier than ask if your biaseed. Ask yourself how many companys during the PS2 life did Sony pay to have them release killer games for only there system.(Final Fantasy, GTA , MGS) all these games that ignorant gamers think that Sony makes these games just cause they don't come out on other systems. my point is if Sony loses the support of these 3rd partys,they can lose them just because they can make more money going multiplatform and nowadays all consoles can sell 20 million or more and it's not like the old day where it was 20 million vs 2 million. there cash in every console and now in the future more games will be Multi.
Enter Microsoft and Nintendo who actually have developers in there house making games the way they want them. not like Sony who has some 3rd party make the best game on there system. this is actually very sad in my book. GTA SA is not the best game on Xbox but it is on Sony PS2 so WTF are you guys blind.
Look on GS the top rated PS2 games and see who was the developer you will be so surpirsed that Sony didn't make any of it's best games.(click all time tab)

So, I can understand the article being posted and even agree with parts. What I want to know, are they going to do a 360 and Wii articles as well?
Playstation2 just killed it in the diversity department. I bought an xbox and i really only used it for multi plat sports games, halo,and ninja gaiden.
Xbox really didn't have much else going for it before halo...i don't know if you were of logical thinking age in 2001-2004Halo 1 came out day 1 for Xbox and it was and still is better than 70% of PS2 games. yes they did have a diverse line up to bad they were bad games.

Same here. I mean 360 I got right away cuz I'm a Team Ninja fanboy and had to have DOA4 as soon as i possibly could. All the other good games for the console have just been icing for me along the way. Otherwise I wouldn't just get a console for it's "future potential of good games"

We'll that may not be true but fact of the matter is the best 3 games of last gen weren't exclusives to Sony but Sony still won.(Halo 2,GTA SA, Metroid prime) If you had an Xbox you would be able to play halo and GTA. So how did Sony win? Sony had the momtentum of PS1 and the PS2 was in so much demand people just waited for the price to drop. but did it really win or loose looking really good.So you're telling me because these guys work in the industry, we should listen to what they say? Learn to think for yourself buddy. Gamespot consists of a bunch of guys who review games. They don't make any games or even publish any games. I myself have been playing video games since the days of Intellivision. That doesn't make me a good resource for gaming info right? I may not like the same types of games you do. Make your own decisions about something instead of creating a useless thread based off of something Gamespot said. I don't think Gamespot's reviews are biased, but they sure as hell aren't that good. One important note to think about.  The funny part of the article to me was that it was basically:
"Get good games you can't play somewhere else"
"Get a good service to play them on"
"Give a reasonable price"

they also said they want Sony's online to be exacally like Xbox live thats a big burn. basically there saying can you be more like the 360? Xbox has good 3rd party exclusives that can sell games(Gears,graw) why doesn't Sony?The funny part of the article to me was that it was basically:
