i think it is ridicoulus that the ps3 and wii fanboys think that gamespot is biased just because their hyped games are not scoring well and the 360s hyped games are.

maybe this is because their hyped games are just not that good and and the 360 games are! and why does everyone think just because halo scored good that gamespot got payed to give it that score.... which is just dumb and ignorant because if you would look at other sites they are giving it the same score and no why would microsoft need to pay review sites to give the game a good score when they dont need to do that because the game is good and deserves the scores.

by the way i do own a 360 but also a wii and im planning to buy a ps3 so no im not some sort of fanboy i just think its redicoulus to blame someone when you dont like something. and im sorry if i have grammatic mistakes but im not from an english speaking country.

Obviously Gamespot is not biased, and this is coming from a Sony fan (primarily). It's a ridiculous notion. Gamespot is harsh and I love that about them.

I think almost all sites give the wii far too good of reviews. Wii fanboys want to put it in the console race and compare it with the ps3 and 360 all the time, so if the wii is in the same category as the ps3 and 360 it should have to meet the exact same standards. Graphics are always a major part of reviews, and the wii isn't comparable to the 360 or ps3. The wii cannot match the AI, or the sound. Multiplayer for the wii is also non existant which kills the replay value for alot of the games. With all that against it in comparison to the ps3 and 360 I think its ridiculous that any of its games can score over a nine. Since Nintendo went the cheap route and just added a goofy controller, wii games should only be able to get a nine at absolute best.

GS is not biased, its just fanboys whining. If they were supposedly biased to 360 why did they give both Blue Dragon and Shadowrun (both published by MS)really low scores when they both are amazing games in there own right, more so BD.

I agree, not biased, but they have their fair share of pretty horrible reviews (just like every other site). I have noticed reading on other sites, some people seem to think gamespot flops games for site hits.

cases that GS is biased:

1) Halo 3 scored AAA even though the gameplay is essentially the same as Halo 2, yet other Wii games flopped because of it (mainly Metroid and Zelda)

2) they don't let us discuss Blu-ray vs HD-DVD and claimed that its not relating to videogames, what the heck? isn't PS 3 a game system uses Blu-ray disc? aren't games able to be store on Blu-ray? how's that not related to gaming?

3) pay attention to their news, most of them are bad publicity for PS 3.

4) look at the Gamespot website design, the "xbox 360" header tag is much larger than the rest of the system, why don't they make it evenly sized?

5) they rate Xbox360 games higher than most of the other sites, and this has been proven with reference with gamerankings. check out how GS rate 360 games, usually higher than what other sites give and then underrate PS 3 and Wii games.

etc etc...

I had no idea that the wii was on par with the ps3 and 360. Hmm, actually I dont think that is right, what I think is right is you are a blind fanboy that cant see that your console is inferior to the ps3 and 360. Clearly it doesn't have to meet the same standards as the ps3 and 360. If prime came out on ps3 it probably would have got a 7.5 because of lack of multiplayer and substandard graphics. If metroid came out on the ps3 and 360 with everything exactly the same it would have gotten at least a full point lower on the reviews. Does anyone really doubt that?

Actully the Wii and PS3 hyped games gets scores that are firther away from gamerankings average then the xbox's hyped games get... It is definitly a sign that says they are biased.. But then again, its all a matter of taste, so these score differences are simply a coincidence.. Atleast I hope so. lol

well considering how other sites also reviewed it around the 9s i dont think that they manipulated the score in any way. and who cares if your not allowed to discuss blu ray vs hd dvd! for your 3rd point i might sound like a fanboy when i say this but maybe there are a lot of bad news about the ps3. and the reason why the header tag thing is bigger is because the name xbox 360 is bigger then wii ps3 or pc.... durrrrr.

GS is biasedFORthe PS3. At Gamerankings, the PS3 has only 1 AAA. At Gamespot it has 3.

The Wii has 3 AAAs at Gamerankings and 2 at Gamespot. The 360 has 8 AAAs at Gamerankings and 8 AAAs on GS.

gamerankings shows quite a few reputable review sites scored halo 9 or above. The wii lovers that claim bias are regretting their purchase of last gen hardware at an inflated price (i know i have). The wii just plain sux - get with it!

3) pay attention to their news, most of them are bad publicity for PS 3.

4) look at the Gamespot website design, the "xbox 360" header tag is much larger than the rest of the system, why don't they make it evenly sized?

5) they rate Xbox360 games higher than most of the other sites, and this has been proven with reference with gamerankings. check out how GS rate 360 games, usually higher than what other sites give and then underrate PS 3 and Wii games.

etc etc...

TBoogy

well considering how other sites also reviewed it around the 9s i dont think that they manipulated the score in any way. and who cares if your not allowed to discuss blu ray vs hd dvd! for your 3rd point i might sound like a fanboy when i say this but maybe there are a lot of bad news about the ps3. and the reason why the header tag thing is bigger is because the name xbox 360 is bigger then wii ps3 or pc.... durrrrr.

i figured somebody will argue about my 4th point. but do you know if they so decide, they can design logo's to represent each system instead of using words?

its psychology man, they made larger xbox360 tag to make it seems like its more important.

or better yet, why don't they spell out the full name, "playstation 3" "nintendo Wii" "nintendo DS lite" "personal computer"

dude... see, its just not fair.

Game13a13y

ok if they would write nintendo wii why dont they write microsoft xbox 360 ... see its just not fair

no what you are saying is just dumb the reason why they have abreviations for the playstation 3 is because there is one but there is no short form for xbox 360

Than 360 would be dwarfed compared to all of them. Although they could go back to calling it X360.

GS is biased TOWARDS the PS3. At Gamerankings, the PS3 has only 1 AAA. At Gamespot it has 3.

The Wii has 3 AAAs at Gamerankings and 2 at Gamespot. The 360 has 8 AAAs at Gamerankings and 8 AAAs on GS.

Good find! If there is one company GS is biased against, it's Ninty!! :o

then if they decided to abbreviate one system, then abbreviate all of them and represent them equally.

if they made it PS 3, then they should make it X360

if they made it Xbox 360, then they should make it Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii

look at ign. thats what i call equal representation.

i took classes of webpage design, its in the book. make larger icon to attract more viewers, "xbox360" header tag is so over-represent.

[QUOTE="tylerdurden2621"]I think almost all sites give the wii far too good of reviews. Since Nintendo went the cheap route and just added a goofy controller, wii games should only be able to get a nine at absolute best. tylerdurden2621

theres goes all of your credibilty (if there was any to begin with)

I must be misinformed. The wii must have stellar graphics, sound and AI in comparison to the ps3 and 360. Evidently wii games have great multiplayer.

I doubt that because Metroid 3 is a great FUN (yes, fun) not a graphical game. All the fun for the wii is the graphics.I doubt you have ever played with the wii.

I think Forza Motorsport should also count AAA on Gamerankings. It got 89.8%, and if you round that, or if it were a Gamespot score. It would be 9.

So that's 9 AAAs. So GS is biased against Nintendo AND Microsoft xD

They rate each game based on comparison to other games on that PLATFORM. Not others.

In past the consoles were all at least somewhat even, but now the wii is noticeably far behind in the hardware department. So based on what you say you acknowledge that the wii games are being judged on wii standards not 360 and ps3 standards. Therfore I am assuming then that a score of a nine on the wii is not as good as a nine on a 360 since the wii is being rated in comparison to other games on its platform. The bar is set much higher for 360 and ps3, but thats basically what you are saying when yousay wii games are rated based on other games on their platform.

It's there opinion on the game and maybe Wii games aren't showing the capabilities of the Wii mote. They have given DS games AAA like Mario Kart DS,New Super Mario Bros and Yoshi Island DS. I am a Wii owner but to call the reviews unfair for the Wii maybe but I get a game on reviews but I don't think Metroid or Zelda really did anything new and maybe thats why it was rated AA. I am sure Super Mario Galaxy will deliverin terms of the hype it's getting because it has gotten a lot of praise and looks different to Super Mario 64.

ok, if they don't even make this little thing fair, how can i trust them being fair at other stuffs?

reading ign, i would rest assure that my favorite system is not being unfairly treated, but GS just fails to do so. tell me why won't they just make it fair for every system? what is your reason huh...

4. thats because the name is longer genius and i dont think that MS paid them to make the title longer

5.no true what about bioshock it had like a 9.7 on gamerankings and gamespot slamed it with a 9.0

You are really trippin' now.

and aren't you the intelligient one... can't come up with any real argument huh...

I thought most of what you said was too silly to respond, but since you brought intelligence into the subject...

1. I have said this before, but gameplay is not where those games suffered, or H3 excelled. Not adding anything new to the series is, and the reviews clearly stated this fact.

2. Discussing blu-ray's advantage as a storage medium for games is relevant, a discussion of which is better, BR or HD DVD (when no systems uses HD DVD for storage) isn't.

3. Gamespot does not create the news. Just report it. And they post negative stories for MS as well. Their are just more negative stories for Sony. That is not gamespots fault.

4. the one I said you are trippin on. Even if they made it larger on purpose doesn't mean they are biased. If that link is their most popular, they can make it easier to find if they want to.

5. Your only decent point, but where is the proof?
