Pretty sad that the Wii U is still a wait.

Lol, although I agree. 3DS is definitely a buy.

It depends on the person and what they feel like playing, their situation, and what they're interested in. I just want to get through Beyond: Two Souls and L.A. Noire first, then I'll be happy to get a PS4 with Resogun, Need for Speed: Rivals and Assassin's Creed 4. I don't care if two of them are multiplats. They'll both be fresh to me, as I haven't played a NFS or AC in a long time, and in my case, they'll be easily the best versions for me to play with my surround speakers.

I will be waiting a long time with the Wii U, since the only game I'm interested in at the moment is Super Mario 3D World, and don't feel it's worth it to spend over $400AUD just for that, and would like to keep having a break from Mario. So I'll just wait for a couple more must-haves, and for the console price to come down a long way.

I wouldn't trust gamespot to guide me through buying a packet of crisps, quite frankly.

From that list I only have a 3DS and Wii U so far. Both are so amazing. Once more good games come out for XboxOne and PS4 I will likely pick up those systems as well (which might take 1-2 years). And I already have, like most, the last gen systems and a gaming pc. I have no intention of ever buying a Vita.

I think each system provides enough incentive for purchase or eventual purchase. Xbox One for better interface watching movies, superior browsing, and a few game exclusives like Titanfall. For consoles PS4 simply has the best of the best for visuals. PC has better visuals but certain games are more fun on console (strategy/fps games for pc and rest for console). The Wii U is a must own for Mario/Zelda/Metroid/etc.

With ZombieU, NSMB, Mario 3D, and Wonderful 101 those alone make the Wii U worth picking up.

PS4-Get it in Spring (Drive Club, Infamous, MLB)

Xbox One-When Titanfall or Witcher 3 comes out.

Wii U-If you want to play more than a handful of games wait until the Holiday 2014, should have a Zelda announcement by then too.

3DS-Buy now

Vita-Buy now (especially if you have PS+)

I have stopped buying handheld machines altogether but I still love my DS. All 3 next gen consoles do seem to need a stronger library before buying one of them.

To be honest the best system to get right now isn't any of the next gen consoles. I'd say PC, 360, PS3, and 3DS are all far more worthy.

Wii U- borderline buy, but it's a wait

On that note, the Wii U is definitely a buy if you never played on the Wii before. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 alone are worth the price of admission.
