Gamespot score aside..... MP3 is BLOODY AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I'm usually more of a "sales talk" guy than a "game talk" guy, but I picked up MP3 last nightand I havent had so much fun with a videogame since first playing RE4. The graphics are hot and the controls are the best I've ever played in an FPS (which I'll call this game because it feels a lot less like an FPA as its much more action/shooter oriented. The pacing is incredible.

Check out the impressions thread on the general board, where Gamespots most respected forumites are all drooling over this game, even the most diehard MS and Sony fans...

indeed the game is amazing. it is dissappointing that game shots cant capture just how good the game looks in motion. the bloom lighting in the game is dreamy and scifitacular. when you see screen shots of character models they can look blocky but in the game they have this cool almost tron look to them. it is a very well made game. also i had no troubles with the controls at all. jumping in the morph ball form works everytime and the context sensitve functions only felt akward once till i started resting my wrist on my knee and then everything lined up perfect.

the game is great to just look at actually. the bosses are really wicked looking abiet a little too easy even on vetern mode. i am planning on bumping up the difficulty now that i have beat it and seeing if it is a tad more enjoyable. the controls are just so smooth it makes killing everything a breeze.

if you have a wii and dont have this game you are really missing out!

Yes. Unfortunately 1 man's opinion is considered truth for the whole site. I wish they did second opinions like IGN does here and there.

Cmon. We know theres something wrong with GS. I go by IGN. They seem more professional. Anywhoo I started not trusting GS when PDzero got AAA. I bought that game and it was a piece of trash. If Ign says warhawk is a good game rather than all these other sites Im more inclined to believe them than say...GS.

To me, all the reviewers are terribly biased AGAINST or TOWARDS one system or another. Which is a huge problem. GS seems to rate games on HYPE rather than the game itself. If the game has a lot of hype and they have a biased tendency they'll slam it for not being the best game ever. Like MP3 not having multiplayer?

Like I said, GS is perhaps THE worst place to go by reviews. But they do have the best forums I've seen so far.

Well then you may not claim ownage for anything on System Wars cause you can't play by the rules.

I've never said that I personally trust or like Gamespot reviews because honestly I am not a big fan of their reviews. I trust Game Informer than any other source. But I would really rather play a game for myself.

But when it comes down to floppage and ownage in System Wars, Gamespot is the only source that is valid for ownage.

It's pretty damn hard. I've died twice on the veteran setting and I'm like a third through or something I don't know. On Metroid Prime I died twice on Hard through the entire game and that was on the Omega Pirate. And I just got to a really confusing place with a bunch of space pirates so I'll probably die some more.

I don't think games rated before the new scoring system this gen should be compared to games afterwards. no idea what MP3 would have scored on the .1 system, nor do we know what Resistance would have scored on a .5 system.

Only because the new rating system is tougher. Also, you don't know that. Metroid Prime 3 could've gotten an 8.7, which rounds down to 8.5.
