Paid to say that...
Nah, have no idea why people like this. probably because it's like cod, everybody likes that game.

Do you want me to tell you why? Because Call of Duty is a FPS that does not require any skill to be a good player. In one week I already placed myself on the top 3 of the match scoreboards everytime. The other FPSs are just too hard for people so they give up. Recently I have been playing BF3 and let me tell you if there is a game that copies war exactly as it is it's Battlefield, the multi-player is also very good but different from CoD. You will die a lot before you start playing well, and CoD fanboys don't stand to die.
Â
that actually means its more knowledge based than skill based. reflexes and aim are skills that more or less translate across all fps titles.
Â
for instance someone with good gun skills will be able to walk into any skill based shooter and do fairly well. its the knowledge based shooters that dont emphasize skill that have a steep learning curve.
Â
i know when i first started playing cod despite having superior gunskill to most players i was losing alot of gun battles up until i learned all the headglitch/hiding/camp spots and where to expect people.
Â
if bf has an even steeper learning curve that just means its even less skill based and more knowledge based than cod.
Â
EDIT: well i guess technically for someone generally bad at shooters, skill based shooters would take much longer to adjust to over knowledge based ones. so if you are bad at shooters in general and you found cod easy that could be an argument for it requiring no skill. however if you are generally good at shooters and you found cod easy to adjust to, that just reinforces it as having skill based gameplay.
