7.5
http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/driving/wipeout/review.htmlThey docked it majorly for having its tracks all coming from the PSP version? And they put multiplayer under the good and the bad....LOL thats kinda harsh for a downloadable game thats $20

I've only played Wipeout once as a kid, so this will be a new thing for me, i'm definately getting it.
[QUOTE="DireToad"]GS is harsh when it comes to PSN games it seems.

What about the Last Guy?
Considering how they hand out AAs and AAAs to Live Arcade and VC titles I wonder what they see in PSN games that warrant such mild reviews.DireToadI think it's what they don't see that's the problem.
GS reviews = trash and this is coming from a lemming....this game has been getting rave reviews everywhere else

Oh yeah, I got confused with the IGN review.

its like they take one look at anything on the PSN and say "yep, 7.5, all of'em"
The problem with this game is that it copies content, doesn't really add to the series and is just a blatant cash in. Other than that it's a pretty good game i'm guessing, just as they were before this one.Stonin

Blatant cash in? The game is 20 bucks. At least they're not releasing an SNES game on the DS for 40 bucks. :PTeufelhuhnYeah. That's weaksauce :x

When will the 'GS are Bias towards system x' conspiracys end :(.i dont think they are biased in that they have favorite systems, i just think they are overly harsh on areas of a game that shouldnt be docked, most of the time they will dock a 20 dollar dlable game for being short, when thats really to be expected, or the game has Too much variet, but i dont think thats held to one system or another

Well I don't think it would sell for more than 20 bucks and it is, by definition, a rehash of an already released game (which is a little cheap if you ask me).
If they make a bold statement telling people that it is just the same game as on the PSP then i'll give them props. They won't and thus it is cashing in.
I just dont understand how this game for $50 on the PSP gets AAA scores here at GS......but the console version with improved visuals, presentation and controls for $20 gets a 7.5Uptown
Gamespot figured they cut the cows break with the MGSIV review, so now they're back to playing hard ball. :P

It would almost be like a PC game with better graphics, extra content and selling for less getting a lower score than the same game on a console :P

How is it 'weaksauce'?
The PS3 is bereft of decent racing games. Wipeout could have filled that gap but instead they grab the last design off the PSP, improve the visuals and release it on PSN as a 'brand new game'. That to me is the very definition of cash in.
Strange, Eurogamer gave it a 9.
Though I see what GS means.
If they used all new tracks it probably would have gotten an AAA score. Though still I only played one of the psp games and at that price its a steal.
Definately AAA for me :)
Though I am annoyed at how this got such a low score compared to braid. Though they may be comparing this game to proper bu ray games since it is of that quality.

I'm not saying that Tekken wasn't a cash in either ;).
Don't get me wrong, this will be a great game that i'll be buying but it does seem cheap that i've already played it and i'm essentially paying for a coat of paint.
