Gamespot your review system is faulty. how can you rate other games 10 in GFX and 360 games get 7 or 8's when they look way betetr than any game ever released. how did gunstar heros get an 8 for GFX on VC, when most Wii games get below 8. I'm not arguing about god of war 2 cause i don't even like button mashers. but my point is you guys need to stop adding everything from GFX and sound then getting a number and saying thats the score. Why can't you just make the tilt the review score. example
Zelda Twighlight princes in tilt got a 10 but received a 8.8 why do you need to take the 8 in gfx 9 in sound 9 in this etc etc etc you are giving 1 game 5 scores then adding it and giving us a number we can careless about. i want reviews to be like thumbs up or thumbs down a games either good or bad not a 6.6 or 8.2234 thats stupid and why i stoped reading GS reviews. if the tilt is not based on anything but the game as a wholeand what the review would give it if he didn't have to give a specific score to all the other GFX,sound etc etc. why can't that be the actual score. just a thought. i know GS is not biased but there scoring system is not fundamental. i hate seeing 7.8 and 8.8 why can't you just round up like a locical person and say 8 or 9?
I myself have been working on a more detailed system based off of GS's 50 point system. It considers all aspects of the game and gives descriptions for why certain things score what. Not just vague numbers.

I'm sorry, but they are not going to change what is possibly one of the best review systems out there so fans can post reviews that no one reads and have the exact score they want. They could possibly change it for user reviews, but does everyone really want that? I don't think so.

 the graphic category is compared to other games on that system. Or else even poorly done games on the 360, and ps3 will look better than the well done games on ps2, or wii
Graphics = technical comparison with other games on that console + artistic appeal. Twilight Princess scored an 8.8 (with the 10 tilt) because, even though the game was thoroughly enjoyed, it was technically flawed. As far as the thumbs up and down: if you don't like the reviewing system, then don't use their reviews. Gamespot cannot simply recommend a game or not, simply due to the fact that everyone has a preference. I don't know if you've this noticed or not, but Gamespot also has a written review, which goes into detail what the game is about, and its pros and cons. If the decently-sized written reviews aren't enough for you to determine whether or not this game is worth your purchase, then no scoring system will ever be good enough for you.

I have to agree with this.. They are inconsistant with a lot of things. Another example off the top of my head is Devil May Cry 3. It was too hard for them, and they complained about the difficulty. Ninja Gaiden was harder, and it was PRAISED for its difficulty. In Devil May Cry 3 special edition, they made it easier. Gamespot said that now that its easier, its less rewarding. They complain about the difficulty no matter what.

TP is a lot like OOT, which is almost a ten year gap. God of War and God of War 2 have a gap of 2 years.
I think your placing too much importance on the review score and not the review overall. The scores are just there for comparison, while the review is there for you to figure out if you want the game or not.Â

Different standards on a next-gen, no sorry new-gen console, and a franchise that refuses to change it's weak points.
they should just take the point system out and put in a big fat % number, everything that you need to know should be in the review itself not in the numbers..
