From the preview:

You can freely move the reticle around the screen in this manner, but to turn, you must move your sights all the way to the edge of the screen.

They're going through this game using the beginner controls. Who the hell is writing this review?! They're going to flop it because they're too busy IGNORING the single greatest reason to play the damn game: the advanced control scheme that is said to best a dual analog setup.

GS has been turning into a pool of horrible journalists since Greg left. First, they underrate Zelda, then they OVERRATE Wario Ware, then they UNDERRATE Bioshock (a 9.0 is just wrong for this game, it's a 9.5 EASY), and now they're going to underrate another title because they're unaware of its BASIC functions.

I miss Greg.

I don't know about the Gamespot bashing but that is upsetting that they don't seem to be aware of the advanced control scheme. :(

They already lost their credibility when they gave Wario AAA instead of Zelda.

They'd flop it using the old system because they still wouldn't know how to play the game.

I never trust Gamespots reviews anyhow.... I go to IGN.com for my reviews, any site that gives PD0 the same score as Bioshock, doesnt deserve to be telling others what to think about games.... they are amateurs at best.

PS. I'm not saying IGN isperfect either, btw, just saying they seem to be better reviewers.

I like GameSpots written reviews... but their scores are overly dramtic imo. Like they are trying to get people to read through hype or dissapointment.

"A launch 360 Game got AAA!?!?!"

"The best game to grace consoles this gen got the same score as a launch game!?!?!?!"

eh...

Very true... going on all their previews of the game, I'd say they're not good as journlists! I can't see how they are such a big site and haven't even picked up on this!

They also questioned whether Samus herself would speak, I thought it was covered that she would? They hired Jennifer Hale which is a seasoned Voice actor to play Samus. How do they not know these things!?

After all the praises, if gamespot flops the controls then well, they are noobs, seeing as the controls have been said to be as easy or even better than a mouse.

No one is forcing you to stay here. Gamespot does the best they can and are entitled to their opinions.

It says that Jennifer Hale plays Samus Aran on IMDB. she'll probably speak at the end of the game I'd wager.

TP was not under-rated, It deserved what it got (And anyway, Greg was still with GS at the time). Also quit whining about Bioshocks score. Under the new system 9.0 means that the game can be anywhere in the 8.8-9.2 range of the older system. No doubt bioshock falls into the higher end of that bracket (which is perfectly reasonable, considering it's lack of enemy variety and penalties for dieing). Anyway, Gamespot is not using the beginner controls, the previewer is just an impatient n00b who can't be bothered trying subtle reticule movements(I know because free-aim lock on is not available on the beginner sensitivity, meaning they were at least using intermediate, meaning they know that sensitivity adjustment exists).

Well, IMDB said that Richard Simmons was playing the voice of Tingle in the upcoming Zelda movie (if it still exists)...

Wait, Jennifer Hale? Isn't she in every single game on the face of the planet? Seriously... MGS, Tales of Symphonia, and now MP3.

It was Richard Simmons playing Tingle in TP wasn't it? And I think that was just a random voice actor not THE actual RIchard Simmons. And IMDB has of course known to be wrong.

Wrong:

On our first mission, we had to protect a besieged planet from a pirate attack. This served as an intense introduction to the game's controls and mechanics. Samus is equipped with her standard arm cannon, and to aim, you simply use the Wii Remote to target your foe with the onscreen reticle. You can freely move the reticle around the screen in this manner, but to turn, you must move your sights all the way to the edge of the screen. This occasionally made for some inconsistent turning, but it was alleviated by the lock-on system. As long as an enemy is close enough--and in your field of vision--you can hold Z to lock on to it, which makes it easier to focus on your target without worrying about keeping it in view. To fire, you press A, or you can charge up a stronger cannon blast by holding the button briefly before releasing.GS

No where in the paragraph talking about aim/look controls using the free-aim lock-on from the medium setting. It just says there's a lock-on, and that you have to move your sights all the way to the edge of the screen, which is ONLY on the beginner control scheme.

This game will get AA on GS and AAA everywhere else just like Zelda.
Though I hyped it AAA I can see GS flopping it.
