Through 2009 MS has sold way more consoles. Killzone only pushed the PS3 ahead of the xbox by 20k and now the numbers have normalised and the xbox is way ahead.

If the xbox does get a price cut its only for the reason of being competitive in the market. Remember the xbox has been out for 4 years, production costs have reduced significantly in that time. I think it would either have a $20 price cut.

Good news for me. I've been meaning to buy a 360 arcade ever since my old one got the RROD 3 times. I still need to play Gears 2.

I don't think M$ is scared at all. I think they just want to make sure their lead is sustained. Sony did that exact same thing with their PS2. Anytime Microsoft did a price cut, so did Sony. Wii doesn't have to do a price cut because they are outselling both the PS3 and XBox 360 by large amounts every week. They have a substantial lead over the competition, so they don't have a thing to worry about.

I doubt there will be another price drop on 360 this year, i mean it is already cheaper than Wii, with free games in that package and is a real next gen machine, that rivals1000+ PC and 400$ PS3 systems (actually surpasses PS3 in visuals in most games and huge open worlds)

So, if they cut more, would be like giving you a ferarri for the price of a bike
