Gamestop Employees are idiot's

I went to Gamestop earlier today to purchase some game's for my 360 and new Ps3

Bioshock, Call of Duty 4 and Tools of Destruction specifically.

I'm standing in line waiting to be helped and the dumba** behind the counter is trying to get this kid to get Assassins Creed for 360 instead of Ps3, Now not only is he hounding him to get it for the 360 hes giving the wrong information about both consoles!!

The exact information he gave was this

360 has 256 MB of Memory and 200 is used

Ps3 only 128MB while 64 is used

Games look a little better on Ps3 because of the Blu-Ray disc and the way it streams data ( Noooooo he did not just say that!)

But on 360 the framerate is always better because it's able to stream from Xbox Live (OMFG you ignorant mutherfu**er!)

I'm standing in line like WTF!!! What the hell are you telling this kid? I hope he's not believing you! Listen being biased about the console you love is fine, but giving someone baseless facts that came from the depths of your a**hole is not.

When I finally got up to the register I decided to see if he would try and convince me to get Assassins Creed for the 360 instead of Ps3....and he did ( What a Dumbass )

Conclusion owning people is fun especially when their Gamestop employees, just like when his co workers kept their mouths shut while he was ranting they kept their mouths shut while he was getting owned....

The Lesson: Speak up I don't care if your a fanboy of one specific console, if someone is acting like a know it all own them!!

I went to Gamestop today. Guy asked what I wanted, I said Super Mario Galaxy, he said ok. Asked if I wanted to preorder brawl and IN FACT I did! So I preordered as well and then left. :Dhiho24

I went in there to get Bioshock and The Orange Box for the PC.

One dolt was telling me how they would be so much better on the 360 - which I don't have, but I kept nodding, just so I could see his hilarious reasoning. His co-worker tells him to stop before he makes himself look like an idiot, "This guy probably knows more about the 360 works then you know stuff about your mom". Gave me a good chuckle, that and the double whammy of pre-ordering Crysis.

I'm an employee and I could literally write essays on the console wars. Believe me, I have.

Especially on the two console's RAM. If I heard that discussion going on next to me, believe me, I would correct whoever made that mistake. I literally know the RAM amounts, differences in architecture, bandwidth, memory type, and OS reservations off the top of my head.

Man I LOVE hearing these Gamestop stories, I can't believe some of these employees people talk about! I'm up in Vancouver; we don't have a Gamespot here and the EB employees are, for the most part, nowhere NEAR the nimrod-level as some of the Gamestop people I've heard about!svetzenlether

Why do people even shop at these stores(GS, EB). When they had a liberal return policy on games I can understand, but they are so overprice compared to big box retailers. I guess they sometimes do get games on time thou. I try to do most of my shopping online to avoid human factor. phakfear

This is true about getting games on time. Yesterday for WHATEVER reason Future Shop didn't have Mario Galaxy out yet, saying it was supposed to come out on the 14 (!?!?!?). EB had it. I got it there.

I bet they tell lies about the PC too. It takes a PC that costs $25,000 to run Crysis on max settings! :lol:

Where the HELL did you find that? Or did you just pull it out of your ass. And I would guess you did not read the TOS as it clearly states, and I quote: Trolling (Inciting flames) - Messages intended solely to annoy and/or offend other users by going against the clear nature of a board, topic or chat room are not allowed. So either erase that, or give me a link saying that 'Games on the PS3 look better because "it streams data better"'

And In contrast to your statement, I can say that the 360 actually has bette graphics. I can say this because even the Gamespot editors agree with me. Take these quotes for example. "We found that the Xbox 360 actually had better graphics in the majority of the games we compared." They agree with me once again. "Games on both systems looked great, but the Xbox 360 games had more polish. We found that the Xbox 360 edged out the PlayStation 3 with higher-resolution textures and better lighting."

Take Madden for example. How does the PS3 have better graphics if it runs at 30 FPS, but the 360 runs at 60 FPS?

I don't have a problem with stupidity after all if you get upset whenever you interact with stupid people when would you ever be not upset?

My problem with Gamestop is how they are a total monopoly and rape the communities they are in by buying games for nothing and reselling them at a 500% markup.

Every time they sell a used game they hurt the profit of developers and publishers and encourage the production of cookie cutter titles that may possibly make a profit over something innovative.

New ip's are a risk and Gamestop does more to discourage them getting made than almost any other company in existence.
