according to gamestop website they are out of x1 preorders

I've not seen a console up its unit allocation as aggressively as PS4 has.  I think Sony is getting ahead of themselves a bit, but more power to them - the PS4 has all the makings of being a great console.

The only reason people are complaining about pre-order wars is because PS4 is dominating. If it was the other way around every faction, hermits included would be bashing PS4.

This new ad campaign is probably just an increase in allocation numbers due to them not having entereted manufacturing prior to this. Now that they've been cleared and have entered manufacturing, they have probably gotten a hold of what their actual launch allocation will be and have updated their retailers accordingly.

No big deal here really.
