[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"]Microsoft has sort of set up commercial suicide with no used games. Slow_Show
No they haven't. Assuming the "it's a shiny new product" factor alone isn't enough to win people over, it's a really, really easy sell to consumers: all you have to do is point out all the benefits of what will presumably be a pretty Steam-esque set-up (i.e. being able to access your entire library wherever and whenever plus regular sales on DD copies), and then if that's not enough just ask everyone to remember the time they waited in line for 30 minutes just for that pizza-faced jagoff at Gamestop to tell them their 6 month old copy of *insert major franchise here* was worth less than a dollar.
There will obviously be backlash from the gamer masses, but so long as MS keeps on top of their messaging it's a non-issue (because if there's anything gamers do well, it's act all indignant about a product only to immidately roll over and buy it). The used market just doesn't do enough to justify its existence to the average consumer, so it really doesn't take much to get over that initial reaction of "no used games? that kinda sucks".
So yeah, MS is definitely going no used games and always-online.
Well I think you're all crazy, you, the board, everyone at Microsoft Crazy.
