Gametrailers Assassins Creed ps3/360 comparison can not be trusted

the comparison is bull on account that gametrailers do not know how to use there PS3

I know a couple guys with PS3s and Assassin's Creed, and they both had freezing issues with the game. No knock on the PS3, but clearly Ubisoft is still having some issues with the PS3...SeanBond

well that problem has been fixed, but the "washed out" look that GT was talking about isnot the game its there set up

exactly, why would anybody want to play a game on a low quality setting? they want us having to deal with how too complex the ps3 as well as devs, lol. they don't want to make it easy for anybody it seems like.

Not owning a PS3, I don't get it. Are those two settings set like that as default (meaning it's GT's fault), or do you have to manually change for full etc.?

Its just adjusting the RGB range. When you set it to FULL on the PS3, it looks just as good as the 360 version. Its not washed out anymore.

The YouTube video is correct though. When its set on FULL RGB range in your PS3 display settings, everything is more colorful and there is more contrast.

yeah, i heard that before. guess they could be right. "superwhite" is not always for the best though.

i don't think it matters much. it seemed in some portions of the video that 'limited' looked better, and some parts in 'full' looked better.krunkfu2

Only newer TVs support Super white and full RGB. They are disabled because they make things look worse on TVs that are not compatible . They are part of the HDMI 1.3 spec for TVs (it's different for computer monitors, most of which support the specs)

the bit were he has it split between limited and full, the full side looks horrendus on the close ups of the stone work, its just brown....

I would also like to point out, that the two features he turned on, make games on Non HD tvs unplayable...simply because you cant change the options anycase xD

Is there a version that leaves out sitting on a bench as a mission? That's the one I suggest people buy. Maybe an expansion pack with new missions is on the way. What could compliment sitting on a bench?

New missions could include standing under an awning or laying on a thatched mat.
