I think someone other then Kevin V should've reviewed it, not because he's a bad reviewer but he was coming off of playing KZ2 for the review which is most likely written up sans the MP portion.
And then has to play FEAR2 which as we can tell so far is good but not on the same level as KZ2.
I enjoyed the demo and will pick this up later after I've gotten through some backlog and KZ2.
I wasn't impressed with the demo, but I might give it a rent since I played the 1st F.E.A.R., hopefully it'll have better level design, enemy a.i. and boss fights.mitu123The demo isn't even from the game. It's like a bad copy and paste job of a tiny portion of several areas throughout game.

Yea fear2# is on a higher level than killzone2.
go watch killzone2/fear2 gametrailers reviews....the reviewer says fear2 has high res textures they mention nothing for killzone2 textures obviously not as good looking as fear2 on highend pc.
Gamespot did a horrible job reviewing this (shocking, since I didn't agree for a review from them in a while). As soon as you step into the world you know its going to be more than a 7. Its a very well put out game and sitting around 8.5 from me so far.immortality20i agree completely with you, i strongly disagree with what every reviewer said about the graphics, i think the graphics are pretty good and i'm really enjoying this game at the minute, it doesn't bring anything new, but it's a solid well balanced first person shooter and everything feels so right about the way it plays.

Haha, that's a funny joke! :Dummm fear2 on pc textures own killzone2 dude.
my pc 512 mb video ram and 2gb main memory.
ps3 has 256 mb main/256 mb video.
i dont think killzone2 textures are gonna be comparing to fear2 maxed out on highend pc.
i have xbox360 and pc to max out fear2, the textures in the xbox360 version suck really badly compared to pc.

Oh, my bad, my bad. I didn't read "pc" at the end of your original post. Yeah, almost anything set to "High"/"Very High" settings on a capable PC will be better than anything on consoles. (Crysis)...Although Killzone 2 still looks purdy-er to me for some reason...See this screenshot? it clearly shows the mod is ps3 biased, banned me for saying ps3 version of fear2 has watered down textures from pc...the xbox360 version does also, but he only erased ps3 comment.

what a fanboy lol.
fear2 on pc owns xbox360/ps3 textures and killzone2 on ps3 textures.
game over, like my acount in acouple seconds lol.
GameSpot's 7.0 review is way more reflective about how I feel about the game. 8.7 is too high. F.E.A.R. 2 isn't a bad game, it's just lacking that something that made the first one great. The graphics aren't as groundbreaking for their time, either. Monolith did an incredible job at detailing their world, using a ton of little props and effects to make the atmosphere in some environments such as the school believable, but on a technical level the game is about average. I will say that the level design is superior to the first F.E.A.R.'s, though.Einhanderkiller
You must not know level design very well, the new one has much better level design.
the single player is much scarier in the second one, lol well none scary but well trys to do scares better.
the first games level design seem very ametur in comparison to 2#.
my only problem they should of took time to add a solid multiplayer, 6 maps? wtf
