I very much doubt that... would be exactly like saying "movies are on a steady decline and will disappear by 2009"
Fact is that people seek intertainment. What is not a fact is that I belive that gaming is in the top4 of entertainment.
(movies, music, books, and games)
gaming changes, the buisness gets more mature and streamlined (I guess) but to say it will disappear is a very odd thing to say.

Or something like that. Anyways, I speak of course of the Gaming crash back in the early 80s. The industry eventually bounced back.
