a few steam titles support steamplay, so that means they run on mac like team fortress and stuff. I think starcraft 2 runs on mac as well

I agree. I have a 2007 macbook pro model, and all the source games runs fine on it. And the models that just came out(15inch screen and above only) should run sc2 with maxed settings.
Check the Mac App store out too, some smaller games that are just as fun on there, like angry birds rioRR360DD

You just magically found a spare copy of Windows, how?If you "can't stand windows" then perhaps your brain is not sophisticated enough to handle PC gaming. :P But seriously, if Bill Gates killed your parents or something then just get Ubuntu.Head_of_gamesLinkified FTW.
not many, call of duty 4, starcraft 2, assassin creed 1 and 2, civilization 5 and source games are among the most advanced. I know you hate windows, but as long as your hdd is big enough, i would still consider bootcamp, that's how i play my games on my mbp2010 (i5@ 2.53, 4 gigs of ram, nvidia m330n 256), it really, really, really increases your hardware performance... oh yeah, and I hate the feel of many gaming mice on osx, mine isn't even recognized by osx.how many games can i run native on osx I dont want to put windows on my mac i cant stand windows.

That was the wisest course of action anyway.
