1.Nintendo Wii console - I love Nintendo but I bought this thing off pure hype. The launch was horrible, Wii sports rocks but its not online thus it gets old fast , no launch killer ap . I had a blast with Perfect Dark Zero (the co-op and SP) anyways and it did infact give a next gen experience in 2005 . The Wii simply doesnt /hasnt done this yet. Zelda TP probably the wii's best game is great for a adventure game but isnt up to par as a Zelda game. Also since it isnt HD the wii looks horrible on my 32 720p/1080i Olevia. Fact is i havent played my Wii in over a month and I've only put two games inside it Wii sports and Zelda and the only thing thats looks worth a damn before Q4 is Super Paper Mario which is a GC game anyways.
2.Dragon Quest VIII - the story is bad, the visuals are overrated, the music is bad, and there arent enough boss battles. I think its something like 14 for the whole game. I'm about 10 hours away from beating it and playing this game is a real chore. Its not AAA worthy and I dont get all the hype behind "OMG its teh retro RPG". This game cant hold a candle to FFX, Paper Mario TYD, KOTOR, KH2 or the other great Rpgs of last gen
3.ElderScrolls 4 Oblivion - ok I bought this game as a birthday gift to my brother EVEN THOUGH HE DOESNT EVEN HAVE A 360 :lol: anyways, this game ruined his life . He lost all motivation for finding a job and became into a living bum zombish thing. His girlfriend and him constantly argued how he needed to get off his ass and get a job. All he did was play this game , eat, and sleep . He's clocked something like 230 hours into it . Add that to the fact that I tried it and found the battle system to be slow and boring. this game just didnt do it for me , but he thinks its the best RPG ever
4.Gungrave overdose. I bought it and saw it got like a high 7 in GS, big misstake. This game goes from a 9.0 to a 3.9 by the end of the first level. its the most repitive game in history.
5.Socom 3 - one of the worst shooters I've ever played. I got it thinking it would have MP that rivals Halo 2 :lol: . This card is garbage. Killzone is flat out better than Socom 3. And why do the cars in Socom 3 drive like boxes ? I bought it for Walmart and sold it on ebay within 24 hours
Oblivion- absolute garbage. Shame on Gamespot for falling for the hype and not playing it thoroughly to see all the game's problems. And I hate to say it, but... Mario Kart: Double Dash- I just bought this less than a week ago, but I'm pretty much done with it now, and i haven't been devoting long periods of time to it. While they did some things right (finally got rid of rubberband AI), the game isn't much of a challenge and most of the tracks aren't nearly as memorable as its predecessor.
   Tales of Symphonia :/ I was at the part in some dungeon about twenty minutes in and i'm like, " If there are anymore events like this, I quit...". I didn't wait to see, I can't stand the music or the graphics with the music and the gameplay is pretty lame

Seriously?! Well lots of people do that. They get a little into it and give up because of an overdose of story events and not enough gameplay. But it gets a lot better later on. And I agree I wasn't impressed the graphics either. They shoulda made it cel-shaded if they were going for anime style or just gone for the full 3d. But seriously it's fun.
Oh and I don't regret buying any game. Maybe Soul Calibur 3 like last year but that's still a fairly good game.

No, not the story events. Just the art style and and music didn't flow for me.
Latest i regret was that i bought a Wii console, i just got it for Zelda that i even had on GC. I guess i got it because of  the hype. I sold it like 3 weeks later, motion sensing is just a gimmick that get boring fast(for me atleast) when you see a normal controller works better. I want play my games the old way.
Phantasy Start Universe, I have been a fan of the series but nor more. This game is horrible. Good thing EB rames let me return it. This isn't recent but World of warcraft. I got addicted to it for about 13 monts and I regret every moment of it now.

Super Swing Golf. Im sure if I wanted to, I could get farther and have more fun with this game, but I have no motivation to. This game is pretty boring compared to my other Wii games.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz: I got this game mainly as a party game to play with my friends, but it is pretty bad, and some of my friends are "anti-videogaming" so they wont play it
Sonic The Hedgehog (Wii VC): It was like $8, for like 7 more dollars i could of gotten mega collection from my friend
Bonk's Advenure (Wii VC): Fun for a while, not worth the purchase
Lumines Live: Lumines rocks, but to get the fullest out of this game you have to by the base pack as well
Naruto DS 4 (import): This game just flat out sucks!
Elebits: Not that good...
Mario Brothers (Wii VC): Sucks (prepares to be flamed)
Game Boy Micro: Now, you may think that the purchase is stupid, especially because I already have a DS, but it was just so small, i couldnt resist. Now i realize that just because it looks cool, doesnt mean it is worth $50 (thank god for returns)

what , dont tell me you actually like that crap on a stick called the RE series before part 4. RE4 fixed a horrible series better than any game in history IMO
I suppose my most recent game purchase regret would be Trapt on PS2. While it's a guilty pleasure to torture people and kill them so easily, the game is pretty sub-par. The AI is really lame, and the game is really short. Not to mention that regardless of it being a N. American release, all the dialog is in Japanese with English subtitles. Pretty lazy Tecmo... pretty lazy. Other game purchases that I regret arn't recent because I've started being seriously picky. Pirates of the Carribean: DMC on PSP - What the heck was I expecting? I guess I just wanted an action platformer. I should have gotten Daxter. Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness on PS2 - While I'm a huge Tomb Raider fan, this game blew chunks. I was all hyped for it... the graphics were great and the story was starting out great... heck.. even the mood of the game was great, but oh man... the controls were HORRIBLE. I couldn't really control Lara nearly as well as I could in the PS1 games. Thank god Crystal Dynamics took over the Tomb Raider franchise. Legend was such a breath of freash air.
I didn't have a "recent" purchase I regret. But when I had my cube it had to be Mario Kart Double Dash. It was very boring and the music along with the voices from the characters made my ears bleed. Did I mention how terrible the music was?
i love that game. cod3 on the other hand ... that was a bad buy. i bought it on the 360 and i hated it. bought it on the wii it was better but not much.

Re used to be scary ... Re4 was just and very well done action shooter. I just hope silent hill doesn't go the same way.
