Gearbox: PC Borderlands Destroys Console Versions

Yeah, I read that on RPS the other day, I was surprised he was so frank. Generally these guys say "well they all look great".

And the pc version I shall purchase.

So you're going to miss out on what could potentially be an amazing game just because of a shader effect?

There's probably a way to get rid of that on the PC version.

Oh, well I know on GameTrailers a lot of the PC gamers just say how everythings consolized, not sure how it is over here.

Doesn't surprise me, Brothers in Arms Hells Highway on PC is alot better looking and alot more polished than the 360/PS3 versions.

GameTrailers? GameTrailers... Dude, GT has some of the worst fanboys in existence, the reason they were saying that was most probably because they saw somebody else post it first.

I would say that the game looks stylised so that it stands out graphically so that it can compete with the more mundane games in the shooter genre, that doesn't mean it's consolised.

I'm still not sure if I want to get this game, sounds like a Diablo clone style FPS.

I'll get it for the 360 first. If I like the single player, I'll get it for the PC also.

Now I have to rethink what I'm buying it on.

I still want the 360 version for the ease of the online integration. That so far still keeps me wanting the 360 version.

Haha, yeah I know. Only reason I go on GT is because for the most part, they actually let you have your freedom of speech. It's also a bad thing but it's better then being restricted.

Just like almost every game :P, Well my 4870 XXX should be getting some more gaming food, i'm currently installing Dead Space (sold my 360 version for £10 and bought a brand new PC version for £8, i've bough a pack of haribo and 2 dairy milks :P) ans Arma 2 just arrived in the post yesterday.

Not surprised. The 360 and PS3 have really weak hardware.

Not exactly the best way to hype your game for the console crowd.

i was getting pc version anyways because i like pc controls and free user made mods. But seriously my 700 dollar pc better run this game better than a 400 dollar ps3. I had to pay 300 dollars extra for a little additional power.

While I do appreciate the assurance of a good PC version the he said it was just too blunt :| I think they got the console crowd demoralized.

Isn't the PC version ALL ways the "better" looking one. Either way I'll still be buying for Xbox 360.

Still getting this game on the 360. I doubt the PC version really "destroys" the console version, while the PC version will look better, I have yet to see a multiplat recently on PC really destoryed the console version.
