Gears 1 graphics arent incredible anymore

I justgot a 360, and ive been playing Gears 1.

And while its graphics are very good, no way is it at the level of MGS4 or Uncharted

Pppst: Gears1 isn't Gears 2.

Also those two games came a YEAR or more after GEars 1.

I kept my PS3 and got a 360... now I have both!

Its very good, Halo 3 is pretty good, but COD4 is better, and Gears 1 is pretty good but I havent played online yet but i will tonight. The system is great but i paid just as much for my 360 as i did for my PS3. When u add paying for wifi and Live. I got the premium so not even the elite. Overall im pleased with my purchase and cant wait for Gears 2.

Btw i know Gears is old and Gears 2 will look alot better, its just i hear people saying Gears is better than Uncharted and MGS4... which is totally wrong

OK. First of all, graphics are visual. You can SEE a difference in graphics. Hence the ability to make the argumenet and judgement that the Gears 2 graphics are better than the GEars 1 graphics. Graphics can be compared from game to game because it is something that we see, not experience.

Gameplay on the other hand, you cannot see or expect unitl you actually experience it for yourself. So the whole Killzone 2 will suck arguement cannot be proved nor disproved because neither of us have experienced it ourselves. The only judgments we can make on this forum is based on sound, story (partially), and graphics.

Also, there is a bit of a post hoc fallacy in saying Killzone 2 will suck because of Killzone 1, but it does hold some weight to it because sometimes the past can be an indication of the future. While history may not repeat itself, it could just rhyme (Mark Twain influence there). So do not call it "fanboy logic" please.

I agree with what you are trying to express but keep in mind that Gears 1 came out a full year before Uncharted and a year and a half before MGS4 and it is almost onpar with those games (at least I think). Gears 2 looks better than both MGS4 and Uncharted though imo. Between the textures, the scale of the fights, the frame rate, the destructible environments, etc. I think Gears 2 will look better than both of those games personally. But we are different people that are allowed to have different opinions also last time I checked so that's ok if you disagree.

MGS4 doesn't look incredible, either. It's a good looking game, but it doesn't look that hot. I don't care what the critics said, I own it and I've seen it upscaling in 1080p. There's a lot of better looking stuff out there. BioShockOwnz

its on the same gen console stupid. and mario is on 64 while sunshine is on gamecube i believe
