GEARS 2 and NINJA GAIDEN 2 HYPE

GAMESPOT's NG(xbox) review - This is one of the best, most challenging action adventure games ever made - 9.4.

GAMESPOT's GEARS(360) review - Gears of War is an outstanding technical achievement, but in addition to looking and sounding amazing, it's a seriously awesome action game - 9.6.

I'm actually not expecting scores THAT high, as both appear graphically similar to the originals. Obviously we haven't seen Gears 2 yet, but if the models in the trailer are anything to go by, they're essentially the same. And sadly that seems to be how games are judged these days. Unless it's an epic graphical update, it's ignored.

Not to mention SSBB, Mario Kart, and wii-fit are either all rehashed to death already or an excericise game for soccer moms. The 2008 wii lineup is looking pretty sad so far.

Yes because they tend to focus more on graphics and gore then gameplay.

Pokemon is one of the best rpg ever made so don't even talk about that.

What does Gears of Chainsaw and Ninja Gaiden offer? Cutting monsters in Half... thats not gameplay. Its made for silly kids to satisfy themselves with their daily dosis of blood and paranoia.

You obviously haven't played a Ninja Gaiden game. It has some of the most polished gameplay ever in a video game.

i think both systems have their strengths and weaknesses. nothing wrong with liking both. i loved gears of war, but i'm also looking really forward to Mario Kart and Little Big Planet.

And? Soemtimes when you play masterpieces you want more..and the only way for that to happen is sequels. Only when that numbers get sto liek 4-5..it can be a bit dull.

And NG2 looks like the sort of game that is gonna make you CRAP yourself. So goddamn brutal and AWESOME!!!

i'm guessing 8.5-9.0 for both. hoping for 9.5 (only if they deserve it)

i'm way more excited for NG2 & Fable 2 & Too Human over GeoW2 though.
