Gears 2 campaign vs Resistance 2 campaign

I got gears of war 2 and it was amazing i beat the campaign, of course i am playing multiplayer/horde i also got resistance 2 and i started 2 play that, but it just feels so boring, i dont feel compelled to complete objectives at all()multiplayer and co-op are awesome) now my question is....is it because i really liked gears of is the resistance campaign not that gr8?

i only just finished idaho in Resistance 2.....so for now Gears of War 2...Resistance 2 has been kind of boring early in the game, but i heard Chicago is awesome....so im looking forward to that :)

Gears 2...for me anyway

Some of the voice work was spot on this time...having the main character(s) show some emotion for once was refreshing and a few key points in the campaign really got to me (those who played it know what Imtalking about right? ;))

on the whole the stroy was creative if confusing....it was..hell Ill just say it: BIGER BETTER AND MORE BADASS!! 

Certainly leaps and bounds ahead of Gears 1...though the ending boss was aliitle let down: good concept...mediocre execution.

I had my eyes closed when I voted in the poll but I have a strong feeling I voted for Gears of War 2 for having the better campaign, multiplayer, and the better game.

thats not true, even reviewers said that Resistance 2 single player is boring. It makes up for it with a great multiplayer.

Gears had the overall better campaign

resistance had the better co-op mode though 

I just beat R2 last night and thought the story was just ok, but the actual gameplay was great, the game was pretty difficult/challenging even on the normal setting, you would have to fight these giant chimeras that shoot you with cannons pretty much, sometimes you would have to face 2-3 of them at a time and then have these crazy "I am Legend" type chimeras running at you in the dozens at full speed, plus other boss fight(some were pretty easy though), there were however the lame cheap shots you get from enemies every once and awhile.nuge004

Just beat R2's campaign last night and I really liked it. [spoiler] It kinda shocked me that Daedalus was actually Jordan Shepard from the first game. [/spoiler] The only part of the campaign I didn't like was the [spoiler] Cliffhanger [/spoiler] ending. All in all it was a pretty good campaign, you had to think strategically about which weapon to bring with you and how to defeat the enemy. I don't have a 360 but I'm sure that Gears 2's campaign was better than it's first.

P.S. R2's boss battles are freakin awesome!

Gears 2 is freakin awesome and I didnt even like the first one. Then again R2 is also kickin ass so far and I didnt like the first one that much either.

Either way both sides are pretty ignorant for joking on each other knowing most of you have only played one of the 2 games in question.

I cant even make my decision just yet, but I will say this. ITS A MATTER OF PREFERENCE! Both games have their ups and downs and they are equal in quality.

Gears of War 2 campaign, not afraid to say but a few times it really got to me...I felt something for these characters at times.

R2 I don't know but it has a weak story so that is fail.

Some of the mechanics in Gears 2 rocked (meat shield, executions etc) but I found that Ionly really found myself using them on the multiplayer. Despite this, I did get to use the mortar a fair amoun, and boy did it rock.

Resistance 2 came out almost a week before Gears 2. And you have no explanation as to why R2 will be better. You and your opinion wreaks of FAIL.

They were close, but R2's ending is what pushed it ahead of Gears 2 IMO. The last boss fights were both too easy though.

Also I think Epic messed up when they decided to put in all the vehicle portions in the game. It was a drag and the controls weren't good except for the last level. I also hated that part where you had to use the turrets to protect the AVs.

Way better? Both games are pretty much the same, nuff said.

Gears of War 2's Maria had more personality than any and every character in Resistance 2.

Gears 2, no doubt. Atleast the characters have their own "thing". They feel humanized. But in Resistance 2, everyone is no one. They never make you feel for any of them, because they never humanize them. By the end of R2, I didn't care what happened to Hale (won't spoil it), but I just didn't care. He was such a boring character. And the environments in G2 are much more epic and grand in their atmosphere. Only the very first level is more of the same.BioShockOwnz

I didn't really care about the Gears characters either. Actually, I was hoping Dom would just die. Hes just as useless in this game as in Gears 1. I did not like the Dom's wife story. It did not go over well. Actually, it was more funny and cheezy than anything.  Dizzy owns though. Both games endings could use some work. Gears more so, as it was very lack luster.

Gears 2 Campaign is officially better than R2's now that I finished R2. R2 is still good and fun, but Gears is more fun.
