Gears 2 IS GOTY

GTA4 is a very boring game. I beat it and have absolutely no desire to play it again. So many people are saying the same thing about it too. MP is weak.

MGS4 was an awesome game. I enjoyed the SP a great deal. The graphics are amazing and the whole game is brilliant. MP on the other hand is weak. I just dont' like it and it's not fun at all. who would want to play it when you can play MP in COD4 or even CODwaw? This game comes in close 2nd for me.

CODwaw MP is great. SP is just plain stupid. I was playing the sniper mission yesterday on veteran. it was simply rediculous how every bullet would hit you when you attempt to pop your head out even though you're suppose to have an unknown position! I hate the SP.

LBP? there is no way that game will get the GOTY. it appeals to a small group of gamers and definitely not the majority and its sales speak for that. I personally could not believe that anybody would get excited about sackboy that much. I never had a sliver of interest towards it.

Gears 2? SP is one of the best shooters in business. I am literally addicted to it. It was so much fun and simply awesome. MP is very good too. Horde mode is addicting fun and challenging. The other modes are fun too. The graphics are amazing and pretty much every aspect of the game is solid.

Of course, this is just my opinion, so don't get too angry at me :)

I personally found Gears 2 to be a pretty big disappointment. The campaign is pretty dull and short and lacks the wow factor the first one had. I went to play through the campaign a second time and was bored to tears by the time I went to the hollow or whatever it's called. Frankly, I find the multiplayer to be complete garbage. Between the fact that the matchmaking is screwed and that you have to play ranked matches that's takes away quite a bit. I also realized with Gears 2 that I hate MP games where you have to shoot somebody 800 times to kill them only to get rocked by a boom shot or sniper riffle in one hit after pumping somebody full of lead for 45 seconds. I'm not into fighting over power weapons. Horde mode was the only good thing about Gears 2 and it got old pretty quick. I dont know what I would say the GOTY is............IMO it certainly isn't Gears 2, Fallout 3, LBP, MGS4, or GTA4. Out of those I would say LBP but I had more fun with Left 4 Dead, Dead Space and Resistance 2.FerdMertz

Gears of War 2's campaign unquestionably is delightful, imposing and absorbing, if you ask me.

Despite the fact that Gears of War 2's campaign provided me with more enjoyment, there are things that didn't make the game of higher quality, in my opinion. I like the way you scurry in Gears of War more, for example. The blood is cartoonish - it's not as realistic as the first one's. I was fond of the original's lack of light - it was realistic and it was badass.

what if crysis warhead beats it out for soty?  going by gs scores they both have as much change as each other and warhead has on of the best sp campains of any shooter only problem is its a bit short but cod4 isn't any longer and was twice the price

Yea it's mine but I highly doubt GS is giving it to Gears 2. Me thinks MGS4. I think GS will give it to that game becuase many feel that GTA IV was waaay overated. Gears 2 will get it somewhere no doubt but I'm almost willing to bet that it's not here.waynehead895

I would'nt mind if MGS4 got it. It derserves praise for being enjoyable even though it made me cringe and practically embarrased to be playing it numerous times.

I get bored extremely fast with nearly all games so first and second playthrough means everything to me.
