Gears 2 makes PC gaming irrelevant

If I was a PC gamer I would be extremely upset after the megaton that is Gears of war 2. It has made your platform irrelevant as the best shooter is now console exclusive. What good is a Quad core PC if it can only run games that are second best to Gears 2 in all areas?. Gears 2 has the best graphics, sound, online play ever seen in a game. And you hermits can never play it.

It is not best game ever I like MGS4 better plus WOrld of Warcraft is better. Lich king is about to come out. Gear 2 wasn't that great so calm down.

Haha! Is this guy serious? Most PC gamers found GOW 1 boring and that was built with better visuals/more content than the 360 version, the online failed because so few people wanted to play it.

Why would we want a second dose of that? It was short and had no replay value.

Stalker and Crysis crush Gears of War 2's graphics and sound. PC online multiplayer has tons of RTS and MMORPGs that will never see light of day on consoles.

besides which the superior graphics, online, controls, build quality and software library of the PC make the 360 irrelevant

A. Tons of people would disagree with you on this one, and even if we consider it true, it doesn't singlehandedly discredit the PC because there are tons of games other than shooters that are still worth playing. Also, just because one game is the best game ever doesn't mean every game that isn't it must be terrible. PC still has the largest volume of highly rated games. 

B. I was unaware of the fact that a game needed good graphics, sound, and online play to be great. Please wait while I throw out my copies of Peggle, Sam & Max Series, Sins of a Solar Empire, etc. Also, remember my not best =/= terrible point from the A.

Is this serious? Gears 2 is far from the best shooter. Ironically enough, 1. It'll end up on PC just like the original one did (deny it all you want...it's true) and 2. Crysis Warhead scored the same as Gears 2 (and the PC has much higher standards) and is better in every single way. Yes, even online. Gears 2's online is broken. Chainsaw fest FTL. There are much better online shooters on PC old and new. CS:S, Crysis Warhead, DoD Source, Quake 3 Arena (Quake Live), etc. I can go on and on. PC has the highest rated games in terms of AAA/AA exclusives (even just counthing this gen) and multiplats.

You do know that the engine running GoW 2 is ridiculously optimised so Windows 98 could probably run it on full settings? And as a PC Gamer I'm happy I don't have to put up with a boring port. Yay mindless marine fun. But if that's what you're into then have fun playing a watered down hardcore PC shooter with gimped game mechanics.
