Gears 2 MP!

GOW2 MP sucks bigtime frist....it takes 10min to find a game only so you can lag the whole time.

The shotgun is useless i don't know how many times i have shot people right in the back only 

for them to turn around and chainsaw me. the smoke frags are gay they stun more then they smoke

the Chainsaw is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over powerd i mean you could walk thru 3 shotgun

rounds and still chainsaw the person. O and yea there is still host advantage in the game.

I am playing Geow2 SP now, and I find not as challenging as the first one (I beat the first one in Insane), do you see the same?

I find the chainsaw  overpowered in SP too (haven't played MP yet)

Losing is not what makes it boring, I remember first playing the Zombie mod on Counter Strike source and even though I lost big time I had so much fun.

It does take forever to find a game if you're not playing with buddies. 

The shotgun might be weaker than the last GOW, but god damn I keep getting one shotted to bits with other people using a shotgun. So I think it's a case of L2P. 

I haven't seen any lag, and I played games with guys in the UK.  

Gears 2 online is awesome.

GOW2 MP sucks bigtime frist....it takes 10min to find a game only so you can lag the whole time. takes 3 mins after i changed my nat settings when im by myself and within seconds when im in a party of 5.

The shotgun is useless i don't know how many times i have shot people right in the back only

for them to turn around and chainsaw me.never happened to me since the shotgun is almost always an instant kill up close. the smoke frags are gay they stun more then they smoke great for the people who know how to use them to their advantage.

5 to 10 mins to find a game? Dang and I thought 1-1.5 mins for Socom to load up is bad. With these kind of numbers coming from xbL people need to quit bashing Socom and PSN then lol.GreyFoXX4

it wont be long before this problem is fixed.

the match making takes so long becuase everyone and their momma is in a party. thats my theory anyways

and i dont understand the chainsaw is overpowerd. its a frickin chainsaw its also hard to use in a charge becuase you get slowed and it goes down when shot

the knife in COD is a completely different story however

The chainsaw is tyoo wasy to use in MP as well. It's basically the best weapon to use in up close combat, the shotgun is just now like a support weapon with stopping power :(.

Well I won't say it sucks at all, but your points are true. 

BAD: 

1.) Matchmaking is VERY slow when you are searching for a game by yourself.
2.) Chainsaw is waaay to easy, but you're not invulnerable.
3.) Shotgun changes were needed, but it didnin't need to become virtually useless. Plus kills aren't satisfying with compared to Gears 1.
4.) Smoke grenades are stupid. You should not spawn with them.
5.) The Hammer :|
6.) The game is slower :(. Gears 1 had a perfect speed
7.) Various bugs. Various glitches that could get you killed.
8.) No lobby system! Epic why do you want your game to be more like Halo!? Lobbby system is a great PC inspired search tool that worked perfectly in Gears 1 :|.
9.) No party up system! After everymatch you are directed back to the MP menu. This the biggest issue IMO (all of Matchmaking).
10.) New maps are LAME compared to the originals. Day One and River are great though.

Great:
1.) Roady run is slowed down while being shot at to promote team gameplay.
2.) Cover is better
3.) Sniper rifle is PERFECT
4.) 5 V 5 is nice :).
5.) It's still fun as hell!

Find a partner. Wingman. Best MP evar. (Not really but Wingman is pretty darn good.)waynehead895

Wingman is AMAZING. But some changes and patches will make this the best Live game once again.Right now... I'm not so sure.

BIOWAREISKING

1.) Actually Mathcmaking is slow for me and everyone on my friend's list when you are searching alone. It's much faster when you are in a party. It's fine for Horde mode though.

2.) You can invite people from your friend's list with the "What's Up" feature, but in no way is that a Party Up system or Continuous Play system. It just means they are in your party and basiacally is just a game invite. You are still directed back to the MP menu. This is not seamless at all and takes too much time just to get into matches. I don't understand why they completely took out the Lobby system, at least have both (example Resistance 2).

Party up system is the option to continue playiong with everyone from a previous match. You should know after playing Halo 3.

3.) Another thing.... No Player Matches like the Gears 1! When you have a guest you can't search online for people to play with. You can only invite people from your list :|. 

I'm not saying it sucks, but many things are big enough issues to complain about you know? 

I haven't had to wait that long, 5 mins tops which I still complained about :P lol and I haven't had any lag :D which is great because I always suffered on the first Gears. I also prefer the shotgun nerfed, you actually have to aim the thing now.SapSacPrime

That's the problem :cry:! Matchmaking should not take 5 minutes. If it's done it should be done like COD4. Extremely fast. Even Halo 3 matchmaking is faster.

I agree with lag, not nearly as much this time around (thank goodness)! But in Private Matches host advantage it still pretty evident :(. 

if they just made the matchmaking system faster and fixed some of these connection issues i wouldnt have much of a problem.  seriously, some games ill be blowing people away with the shotty and others its like im shooting a BB gun at them.  they need to fix that crap.
