Gears 2 MP will $uck compared to the other big shooters this fall!

AnyWay i was thinking when the MP portion of Gears 2 is going to be such a big part of the game why dont they have beta testing like Resistance 2, socom, MGO, COD4 and 5 etc. We all know this as fact the input from the beta versions help improve the game quite a bit.

I was wondering maybe this could have been the reason why Gears 1 MP although fun was broken in some ways. I just hope this doesnt happen to Gears 2 cus Im looking forward like crazy to playing this on my cousin's xbox..

At no point was Gears ever unplayable because of glitches. Its such a quality game that a few temp glitches could hardly make it any less fun. You must have massively high standards (ie. your avatar :P )

A shooter where you spend 3-4X as much time diving around as you do shooting needs to rethink its MP, it's not like there aren't a hundred examples of good shooter MP out there.

Truthfully, I'm just kidding, I'm sure it will be a fun game, I just thought that the video that was linked earlier was a pretty pitiful attempt to showcase Gears of Dive and Roll 2.

gears 1 was full of glitches and was unbalanced as hell. but damn was it addictive and fun

gears 2 will be the multiplayer goty and shooter of the year

i would argue that the evasive maneuvers provide another dimension to the tired old play of running and shooting. but now gears 2 will also incorporate the use of cover alongside a wider variety of weapons and game mechanics on top of that.

Over Far Cry 2? Gears 2 is definitely a top contender though.

Epic should have done a Beta. That way bugs and glitches could be cleared away. The first Gears was plagued by many bugs, but the fun gameplay made up for it.

I hope technical flaws aren't a big issue this time around. Especially since it's been 2 years. The fun gameplay probably won't make up for it if the same amount of issues there.

lol yes i find RE4 my favorite game (soon RE5) but i did not say it was unplayable i found it boring and glitchy

Evasive maneuvers and cover mechanics is the best way to do 3rd person shooters. Period. Gears is my fav online MP next to TF2 and UT2004.

Now only if Naughty Dog implemented MP into Uncharted 2. Cows would think it to be amazing. And for good reason.

Gears 1 was not broken due to lack of testing. What broke Gears 1 was that Epic did not fix any of the major issues in anywhere near a timely manner after they were made aware of them.

If Epic actually fixes broken parts of Gears 2, I think it will be one heck of a fun MP (like the 1st was prior to glitchers and level-leavers).
