Gears 2 or Resistance 2

Gears 2.

Just prefer the gameplay, more depth, addictive and satisfying. R2 feels like every other FPS. Gears is in a league of its own.

Both have pro's and cons.

Neither deserve Game of the Year. I don't see a sequel that doesn't drastically change the gameplay up will win, but hell, Grand Theft Auto IV might just do it. However, I personally think these two games don't have much of a chance. It'll probably be Metal Gear Solid IV. If not, Grand Theft Auto IV. If not... then I'm owned.

Gears 2 wins hands down. Resistance 2's single player has some bad level design and a story that feels completely rushed. And the co-op in Resistance 2 doesn't touch Horde mode in fun value. I still love Resistance 2, but it has a lot more problems, and feels like everything wasn't as polished as it could have been had Insomniac focused on delivering quality over quantity.BioShockOwnz

I have both games. I prefer Gears for the single player and Resistance for the multiplayer. The Co-Op and skirmish modes for Resistance are revolutionary.Velric

how can u say wich has better multi or SP whn u havent played either? ive played both and i think r2 owns in both areas

Gears of War 2 is so good and better, if I had infinite amounts of money, I would buy everyone I know Gears of War 2 and even an Xbox 360 if they didn't have one yet, just to spread the joy around the world.

Imo if you believe that than R2 will win becuase you get a lot more replayability from Multiplayer than Single player and that is a fact for a shooter.

Don't worry, I laugh too after reading what I just submitted.

It depends which console you have.

For the consumer purchase, R2 has alot of playing time while Gears is 8 hour campaign.

As we've seen with MGO, LBP, and Socom, beta's don't seem to do much good, sadly.

And some games that have been promised to have features in the game when it comes out doesn't even have it. For example co-op in cod4 never happened. Online co-op when the game is released LBP and Fable 2 they both got patches.

R2 easily beats Gears for online.

Story mode... both are fairly average, but perhaps gears wins.

What took my breath away about R2 was that I had 8 people on my team firing at about 30+ enemies. these enemies were all returning fire and there was so much going on it boggled the mindl R2 really captures the chaos of war.

On Gamerankings Gears 2 is a 94 % well R2 is 89 %.

But beside that Gears 2 is wayy better.

BOTH! After playing them I can't live with only one or pick between them! They are so amazing :).

MGS4 will get GOTY ;).

I have a little over 3 hours into Gears 2 single player and almost 5 hours into Resistance 2. IMO Gears 2 is a 9.5 while Resistance 2 is only a 8.5. Everything is better in Gears, even right down to the way an ememy dies!
