Gears of War 2. More emotionally affecting than BioShock.

As you can see from the article though, they are going to turn this series into movies, books, and spinoffs just like the Halo series. GOTY contender confirmed. All those people who hated on the GeoW's story will do a 180 this time around and love the game. So how are you PS3 owners enjoying Haze?

Sweet! Bioshock was actualy very emotional. (not sad, just intense and really eerie). This is good news. It's like Halo 1 had no story and the 2nd one introduced all sorts of characters.

I hope Gears 2 makes a great story introduction to the series with less confusin like halo 2, lolo (though it was great)

The Gears of War story in general...

probably means Dom finds wife, Dom or wife gets crushed by large monster then Fenix or Dom cry over losing his sexual partner. I didn't play gears for its story, I played it because I loved the gore.

The same way Haze's scriptwriter said his game was great storywise? This is just the voice of Dominic Santiago in game, not biased at all :|

That's like Free Radical saying their game tackles mature themes properly, because well..they're both unbiased aren't they?

I mean, I suppose it's possible for GeoW 2 to be more "emotionally affecting" than Bioshock... assuming the emotional stuff comes through the characters, because Bioshock didn't really create an emotional connection with any of the characters (nor did it try); it was more of a tragedy of place than anything else. It's emotion came from the world, and from the world's creator (Ryan), and I highly doubt that GeoW 2 (or any other game on the horizon) will be able to beat Bioshock in that department.

And really guys, who among us can honestly say they are not skeptical, after the storytelling in the first GeoW?

Aliens attack the world. Only this time, the 'aliens' are underground instead of outer space. So yes, the story is completely original :P

with trash stories. Gears just happened to have a great concept and back story. I really hope they don't crap it up by adding flaming unicorns and other bells and whistles in the story just to up the 1st one.xxastrocreepxx
