Gears of War 3 came and went. Nobody cares about it.

I know MS tried to make Gears the new face of Xbox, but we all know it's still Halo and it will always be Halo. I hope they don't try this again. Gears of War is a miserable series and should be burried under Cortana's cyber poo.

It's an amazing series but it can't touch Halo. Nothing can.

Yeah, Gears isn't as good as Halo. But it's a great series and one that paid off for Microsoft. I hope they do have other awesome exclusives like that because they've been lagging it in that department.

The problem with gears wasn't the story or even the characters, the problem was the gameplay. I love the gears of war series by the way and would go as far as to say that it's my favourite shooting focused series ever made, but it's not hard to figure out why it didn't catch on as much as halo did. It's a third person shooter, the controls aren't as easy to get used to as the generic FPS game and a new player online is practically an instant kill.

Halo is easier to jump into and develop a instrest in, and that's why it sells more and is MS's flagship title.

True, we may have had a Halo game every year since 2009, but MS are hyping Halo 4 because it's been five years since we've seen the Chief. They're trying to hype it as "revival" for the series even though it's been selling a metric ton of copies. :P

halo was pretty accessible back in 2007 and still in 2010. Thats definitely was the driving force.

I am not a fan of the Gears Of War series. Just can't get over how repetitive those games are. Halo, God Of War, Uncharted, Crackdown, Splinter Cell Conviction, InFamous, all of those are far better games. Just based off the fact that they aren't as damn reptitive.

Halo should be the face of any Microsoft console. Plain and simple. Gears is simple... Marcus screams out "AMBUSH" and then you run into cover, pop out and shoot, rinse and repeat till the end credits.

gears is great, but it's not going to be Halo 3 (which i regard as the best one). and hopefully they DON'T continue the series after the story has concluded...
