Gears has always had color, just a lack of variety, which is understandable, it's after a Damn Locust Apocalypse. Though the new implimation od color works well.

Well agreed, but they had color. No matter how blandly tinted or shaded they were. :p However, I'm loving the new art design in Gear 3. It looks amazing.

There was plenty of color in Gears 2... It just wasn't evenly distributed. Half the game is underground. The multiplayer maps on the other hand were a wide variety of colors and locations.

I despised the under ground setting, not generally. But the fact you were there for literally half the game like you said.

Very impressed with the map shown off in the video though. That creek outside the playable area was completely unnecessary but very awesome.

Or perhaps you're examining one particular map. How about over pass, which sinks into the ground and floods during play.

Mainly because these are multiplayer maps, single player graphics as always will look one generation ahead and be a huge lot more interactive

What do you want? Wild life? Yeah, NPCs running around in adversarial multiplayer will go over real well with competitive gamers.

P.s Just a heads ups and so that everybody knows, datfish is coolwraith. He's that Gears guy that claims to be an Uncharted fan but spams the forums with over like 5 Gears threads a day He's also had over like 100 alternate accounts.

Yep, and I didn't think my mind could get any more blown. I didn't like the idea when Epic stated they were considering adding music to multi-player but they just did it so perfectly. Took me back to 2006 when I saw the first ad for Gears and thought... I'm not buying this.

Gears of war 3 includes 4 player co-op with game play any less linear it'd be open world. And Epic has made a point to keep it a least scripted as possible.

Why does Uncharted 2 keep getting mentioned? Gears 3 easily surpasses it in textures,lighting and shadows alone.

Stop being a fanboy and compare the lighting in Gridlock to any night map in Uncharted 2...

Hell Uncharted 2's night maps don't even have Moon shafts...

You do realize that is an instance that's not dynamic? It's just a mesh that is scripted. And it blows Gears fire effects away? Take a look at this. 1:18 - 1:22 http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/Comparision.png Gears particle effects blow away anything on the mansion level. Another example is when a general smoke grenade explodes its dynamic fogging effects move around mesh without going directly through it unrealistically.

Is that a joke? Motion blur assists Gears drastically. It's making use of it in a far superior manner then Uncharted 3 is.

Yeah, from builds that are years old. That's a recent build of Uncharted 3, and it's quite pathetic.

U2 graphics were great back then, today both U2-3 visuals are just far behind Gears 3

Lol your clinically INSANE. Uncharted 3 looks quite a bit better then Gears 3. Like you really can't be this serious! You need to come to terms with reality

Uncharted 3 looks smaller and far less CGI like than Gears 3, sorry

In fact Uncharted 3 looked really old in the new video, like using a very old engine

Yeah think i've seen 1 pic that was actually from GeoW1 before the texture pop-in (pretty common problem with GeoW1) that someone was trying to pass off as GeoW3! I think that you may have an unhealthy emotional attachment to your PS3. :lol:

Dude your like a parrot, is that all you can say, is this a joke....The only joke is here and the rest of the delusional Gears fanboys. Uncharted 3 won a ton of awards at e3 for graphics while Gears 3 won ZERO But *sigh* only on this forum can fanboys say that Gears 3 looks better....

Not sure if serious. E3 means nothing, we can compare textures, lighting, etc. Not to mention there both older builds. For instance, visuals change during game play scenarios. We're comparing full non-linear and scripted area multi-player footage of both and Gears is obviously far superior. Hell E3 viewers often don't even play the demos. Not to mention everyone expects Uncharted 3 to look superior generally, but when Gears 3 comes and is knocking it off its seat every is a bit surprised. It also doesn't change the fact that now every one is starting to see after all the polish Gears has gotten the graphical beast it really is well.. times are changing. And motion blur hasn't assisted Gears of war 3? That's laughable.
