Gears of War 3 Is The Most Pre-Ordered Game In The World Beating Modern Warfare

Gears of War 3 is going to massive we all know that it will easily sell millions of copies but pre-orders are what really tells the story.

According to sales tracking data Gears of War 3 is the currently the most pre-ordered game in the world with over 800,000 copies being pre-ordered in the US alone.

This means that Gears of War 3 is currently beating the likes of Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3 in terms of pre-orders whether it can win in terms of actual sales is yet to be seen.

Gears of War 3 is set to release later this year exclusively for the Xbox 360.

this is false info ... no other credible website is reporting this. MW2's pre-orders were through the roof, only to be surpassed by a single-plat ?

I am sure it will sell very well BUT

GeOW 3 WILL NOT sell more than MW3, so pre-orders do not tell all :P.

I will be buying Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 day one, but not Gears or MW3.

Beta is the main reason. Good news anyway, this game will be amazing :)

The general population usually starts to pre-order then (by that, i mean the masses of little kids...)

It will be the best in the series. The online beta played very smoothly. Reminded my a lot of Gears 1 gameplay which is great. The visuals were stunning for xbox. More gore than ever. I can see myself playing this game online as much as I played gears 1 (which is a lot).

Does this really matter? i think we should wait to see day 1 sales of gears 3 and bf3/mw3 seeing as those were just announced and won't be released for another few months

the one and only game i played of the beta was a glitch fest and I spent my preorder money on L.A. Noire

I have't pre-ordered a game since Halo 3.

Also I know a lot of my friends pre-orderd Gears 3 just for the beta. They said they probably won't pay it off.

Gears of War is an excellent game series. It deserves all the pre-orders it is getting. But yeah lots of people pre-ordered to get into the beta.

I predict around 7 million in sales which is what Gears 1, and 2 sold I believe

i never preorderd. but played the beta around a mates house, its a lot better then gears 2

Thats good. This is a game that deserves it. Its not some rushed and rehashed series thats released a title every year like that other game.

Anarchy Regins, Ninja Gaiden 3, Sonic Generations, Forza 4 and a whole bunch of other games. I'm a 360 owner and i might pre-order these. :P

Forza 4, a bunch of kinect games, The Witcher 2 and multiplats. After E3 there will probably be more.

I know right. The problem now is that they ahve caused too much damage and pain to the likes of us and will never get back in our good books. I loved MW1 and enjoyed MW2 but now its never gonna happen again. I lost all respect for them.

On topic. I think gears is looking good. Im glad 360 owners have a game to show off, it was pretty bad for a whil with no good titles. But unreal engine 3 looks great. I like the lighting
