i didnt watch the video. I thought gears 3 was great. Best game in the series. but it felt a little stale to me and with uncharted i dont think its the best in its class anymore. anyway, i really want epic to move on and do something different.

Well polished,well done, and had a good online and fun co-op/sp.Cant think of any better well rounded experience this year to be honest it was really well done it had a good balance of everything.
I still enjoyed Gears 1 and 2 a lot more than Gears of War 3, even though 1 & 2 had crappy online connection. Gears 2 is still my favorite of the trilogy. I had so much fun in MP online with Gears 2. With Gears 3.. it just doesn't feel the same. Most of the new gameplay mechanics and weapons feel gimmicky in competitive online although they fit the game's story and universe. *shrugs* I would rate it a 9.0/10.. and Gears 1 and 2 both 9.5's.
I just borrowed the game from a friend and I'm trying to keep an open mind about it but so far I'm not feeling the gameplay and graphics. I'm still in the first chapter so I'll keep playing the game to see if there are any surprises in store for. The mp is not as meh as the sp but it's not something that I see myself playing after an hour.
I only own gears 1so :D so I do I already have the best version?

Obviously the graphics in Gears 3, a 2011 release, are better than Gears 1, a 2006 release. :?
Gears 3>G2>G1 overall.
Gears 2>G3>G1 for SP.
I used to tell people that I think Halo 1 had better graphics than Halo 2 and people bashed me for it, but I still stand by that claim today. I'm not saying he's right here but being the newer release dosen't always mean best *graphic wise*.

It's technically far more advanced than Gears 1, that's a fact. It's also far more visual appealing to the eyes all round, at least I think so.
Seriously, for a series that was ragged on for being "brown and gray", they absolutely shut those people up with the new colour palate. Some levels are incredibly lush and vibrant, the last thing you'd expect from a Gears game.
And lol at you thinking Halo 1 looks better than Halo 2, Halo 2 was a graphical beast back in the day.:P

I prefer Halo to Halo 2 but hot damn there's no way it LOOKS better than part 2. That's not even a valid opinion because it's simply not true.
A lot of people don't appreciate Gears because the MP has a steep learning curve.
You can go into the SP and kick ass even on higher difficulty settings but MP is a different ball game.
There are a lot of Gears 1 & Gears 2 vets that have been playing for years and Gears 3 like the previous games has a STEEP learning curve. I played the previous version in a casual manner and never really went into it in much depth. But like I said there are lot of VERY experienced and skilled Gears players out there who will tear inexperienced players apart. You cant jump into Gears and rack up kills like you do in other games. I'm an experienced FPS player and I regularly get my ass handed to me in Gears.
You've gotta learn all the weapons, learn how to get ACTIVE reloads every time, you need to know how to use COVER. you need to learn quickly reflexes and accuracy and know which weapon to use when. When you're up against VERY experienced players naturally you will learn the hard way. But if you put in the time then you will come good. But this isn't COD, BF or Killzone where anyone can rack up kills easily.
The game was pretty good, the normal difficulty is way too easy and the story was one of the worse in video game history. I'm not sure why Epic wanted to create soap opera drama in their game, but I laughed all the way through the ridiculous story.
