Gears of War 4 comes free with Nvidia's GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 cards

Microsoft is teaming up with Nvidia to give away free copies of Gears of War 4. If you purchase a GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 as a graphics card, part of a system, or inside a laptop then you'll get a free copy of Gears of War 4. The promotion runs from today until October 30th, and as the game is Xbox Play Anywhere you'll get a copy of the PC version and Xbox One variant for free.

Smart move there was never a big Gears of War community on PC.

Well that pisses me off because I just bought a 1080 and only received some assets for Paragon....blah!

@chikenfriedrice: Me too haha! I bought 2 1070s but you can only redeem one of the paragon codes per account. Gears 4 would have been MUCH cooler than some coins to buy skins in a MOBA... Oh well.

Maybe I will.....I bought it on Amazon but the seller I'll have to check.

Don't know whether it was fixed but there was a glitch on amazon earlier where the codes would be emailed to you before the order was shipped.Basically you could order multiple graphic cards,get the codes and then immediately cancel them essentially getting a free game without buying a graphics card.

So if you are buying codes on ebay or something be wary,these keys might get revoked.

I just got my GTX 1070 last week from Amazon, (Gigabyte 1070) if I contact nvidia or Amazon, I still get the code right?

Told you guys you got your cards too early. Nvidia do this every year. Last year we got both MGSV and TW3. Also Batman and MGSV.

FH3 would have been better. How many PC gamers care to jump straight into the 4th iteration of a mostly console franchise?

I bought a Strix 1070 last month. wonder if I can pop nvidia an email about asking for the game I am entitled too. since registration on there site doesn't work for me at least.

Which is kind of a shame, since the PC version of Gears 1 is the definitive version, with improved graphics and extra content that the 360 never got.

Too bad those cards are very expensive in Canada. Seriously the gtx 1070 can go from $500 or more.

Well MSI gaming X 1070 goes for 550€ here, Asus Strix for 570-80€

Lmao, I got a 1070 two months ago, and they gave me World of Warships assets. Hard to tell which one of us got the rougher deal.

Lol...tough call, I will never play Paragon but I received $115 in game value assets. I've never heard of World of Warships :P
