Gears of War 4 looks far better than Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild could ever dream of looking.

How can this following filtered garbage even compete with Gears 4?

Gears 4 looks beautiful at times, even in its multiplayer maps. Zelda I've never played, but by what I've seen it looks meh. That's to be expected though, it's on much weaker hardware. What's the point of this comparison though? Lol

Going by those 2 pictures i have to say Zelda looks better. Im interested to buy Gears 4 digitally tho, more interesting game for me. "Play anywhere" sounds great.

Zelda is hands down a better looking game. This is such a fail. Zeldas world has gorgeous wildlife to where as Gears of War wildlife is void of breath. How you gonna make a world with shit wildlife, wtf were they smoking.

Exactly, at it's worst Gears of War 4 looks leagues better than Zelda's best.

Gears of War 4 is an unquestionably better looking game, but Breath of the Wild is an unquestionably better game, Gears is still good, but it's no Zelda.

who exactly said Zelda was a looker? On a technical level no Switch game will compare to even low budget PS4/Xbox games.

Gears of War 4 is a slightly better looking gears of war 3.

Zelda Breath of the Wild changed a lot (likely for the worse)

Still a better game than gears of war 4, gears of war 4 is a 6/10 game.

If I had played neither game, knew nothing of the systems that run them, and had to choose between which of the two is more visually appealing, I'd go with that Zelda pic. Both pics are unflattering representations of those games, but hey, at least you're being fair lol.

But yeah, on a technical level it's obvious that Gears runs circles around Zelda. Much better hardware, much smaller scale. This is about as "no shit" as it gets.

No way, Gears 4 does all of the following much better.

Zelda gives us a massive, expressive world to exist and experiment in.

Gears gives us the same cuddling up the chest high walls we've played ad infinitum.

Look, I played and enjoyed Gears 4 a lot too. But most people don't get off to the million polygons in Marcus's bicep. They prefer a better playing game, which based on commercial and critical reception, is inarguably Zelda.
