Gears of war and gears of war 2 are the only games with a nextgen feel to them

So far gears of war series is the only games to have a nextgen feel to it compared to all the other games. The other games feel like just ps2 games with better graphics but gears of war feels nextgen to me. Almost all games could be done on ps2 and the controls would be the same, I dont think gears of warcould be done on ps2 and feel the same.

Other than the Graphics, GeoW could have easily been on PS2/Xbox/GS...did you miss playing Killswitch, MGS2, MGS3, and Splinter Cell 1-3?

Also TC, I think you should by a Wii and PS3 to compliment your 360, and play more games before you make such BOLD incorrect claims.

Well I agree with you that it does have a nextgen feel to it (current gen for you picky people) but there are many other games with this feeling.

Please see Uncharted 2, ES IV Oblivion, Bioshock, Batman AA, Mass Effect, you know what? Nevermind

Those were both great games but after Uncharted 2 .............. you need to try more games out dude

What did gears do (graphics aside) that is next gen?

• Stop and pop has been around since kill.switch
• Space Marines have been around since 1939 (if wiki is to be believed), so thats a few generations back
• They may have been the first to put in an active reload system, but true or not that hardly is "next-gen".

2D games feel more like current generation games then GEOW.

What about....every other game released this gen?

Buy PS3, buy Uncharted 2, and see if you can still say this

Actually I would agree with him in this case.

Gears 1 and gears 1.5 are both killswitch clones. The only thing they have over killswitch is improved grpahics but even then by this gen's standards they are not impressive just look at UC2 if you want a REAL next-gen feel.

Well they were made when this gen was still considered "next-gen" so I guess that term could apply.
