Lolz, they injected steroids that mostly effected everything but their legs. They wear big pants to hide their "out of place" legs; so, because of that they are unable to jump.

i can post even more reasons why gears of war need's a jump button. it ruins tactics/strategy. im not too lazy to walk around but it's common sense it's the faster way to other player below hints tactics. no jumping is more on rail's shooter noobish crap as much thinking required.
