Just tried to play a match, no such luck. It is picked clean by all those Halo 3 converts (or those awaiting Halo 3). I wonder what the other online scenes are like. Probably the same.
i knew once halo 3 came out my friends list was gonnna look like "10 friends online, 10 friends: halo 3" i havent bought the game yet but i may, i was going to last weekend but now orange box is so soon id rather play ep. 2, then portal then tf 2 for ever

Find that hard to believe I always been able to find game on gears. Anyway once the dust settle down the gears community will be back
the gears community and the halo community are the same people...its the same audience you didn't realise this?? every person i played gears with ever was just waiting for halo 3 to come out, im sure theyll be on gears every now and then but halo 3 is gonna be the main online game now

Not really. There are quite a lot of people who prefer gears of Halo. Also FPSvsTPS are not the same community.
only 1 guy plays Gears on my friends list now, i remember a day after halo 3 come out, i had like 18 friends online and all of them playing halo 3, thats the most ive seen on my friends list, usually the most for gears is like 5-6 people playing max and there always someone playing different game but that day whoever was playing online on my friends list was playing halo 3

it was active before halo 3 launch. there were a lot of 3 rounds(ppl trying to unlock achievements), 9, 10, 11, and 12, and 19 rounds if you searched. i played gears last night it and there were few games made, but took a while to get a full party. imo i think there will be ppl some ppl going back to gears in few weeks. yea its crazy everytime i see ppl in my friendlist online i see all of them playing halo 3 since game came out.
Get use to it. It's not going to change anytime soon. Not that many people are going to be playing any games online except for Halo for a while. Which sucks for other games. My best friend isn't going to buy another game this year because of Halo, not even Mass Effect. Halo = Good for Microsoft but bad for other Devs!
