Got first Gears day of release here in the UK was blown away by its graphics and loved its gameplay was really excited to get the sequel.
When the sequel came out rushed to get it got home and was disapointed. I couldn't understand why for awhile but i believe the problem was it wasn't different enough from the first and i had become bored with its style.
i was never really interested in that game....then i read some preview like couple of days before the release and after that i decided to get it day 1. what an awesome choice that was. one of the best games this gen imho

Mainly just for conversation's sake. Gears is a game that I'd really like to play but I don't have a 360. I remember seeing adverts for it and it looked insane. Since the Unreal Engine is now very over-used, I also wanted to see how people felt about it at its debut in grand fashion.
No, but I did for Gears 2. Goddamn, the single player was the best shooter single player I've played this gen! Multiplayer was really laggy at launch, they fixed it though, so I'm happy.
