I'm giving this remastered version a 9/10 since the original version got a 9.6.

All they did was port over the pc version to console. Not much of a feat there.

If they don't blow it like MCC, I'm hyping it to be AA or higher.

I can't wait to play that Krill nighttime mission with these updated graphics. And when BC comes, I'm putting even more hours into GoW3.

@SolidGame_basic: if you played the pc version you would know this isn't a straight port. Not to mention there are multiplayer game modes that weren't in the pc version. But you wouldn't know that would you. The only thing coming that was in the pc version and not the 360 version is the added campaign mission. The cutscenes are also different compared to the pc version.

Ignorance truly knows no bounds. Except for console war allegiances.

Anyway, my vote for this would be a nice, comfortable 8/10.

After playing the beta, I'm going with a 7. I find the movement feels really slow. I'm not sure if Gears 2, 3, or Judgement sped things up at all (never played them), but it feels like running around with a tank or something. If the newer games sped things up, they should've used the gameplay from one of them in the remaster of part 1. Honestly, they did a great job with the visuals and I can appreciate what they've done with this Ultimate Edition.

I haven't decided as to whether I'll pick this up or not, I played Gears 1 on the 360 and never played another one because it just didn't do it for me. I would like to coop the campaign though which may be enough reason for me to get this. 4 complete campaigns and the mp if I ever decide to play it for $40 is a steal.

Umm that would be a no, hell no. I said above that this is being built from the ground up, not a simple port, That also includes PC version.

Looking forward to it......I'm thinking it should score at least an 8, but if it does everything well and the online goes smoothly, I hope it scores a 9 to show that the extra work going into a remaster does not go unnoticed....I mean, without naming names, I will say there have been very lazy remasters that got an 8 on this site......anywyas, fun metagames is all, still getting it no matter the reviews

@Alucard_Prime: I originally said a 7 (due to personal tastes about the gameplay) but I understand wanting the game to get credit for being a properly done remaster. So many companies are putting out half assed, uprezzed remasters and it is a joke. I applaud Coalition for making a properly done remaster. To me, the gameplay just feels a bit outdated.

I am predicting an 8 for this and an unprecedented 11 for the UC Collection. Seems to be how things go.

@iambatman7986: Oh yeah for sure, the game also has to hold up well. I found the movement fine but that's just my opinion.

Maybe if enough people gave them feedback such as yours, perhaps they will tweak it for final release, who knows. I know with Gears you can move fast if you use the cover mechanics to your advantage, so there is that.

I'd give it an 8. Predicting scores isn't as much fun when you've already played the game. All of the changes are cosmetic, right?

If there is no glaring issues with the game, I think AA is a safe bet.

It's a little criminal that this will probably score the same as God of War 3 Remastered...

I wasn't planning on getting it, but getting the other Gears games via BC made me reconsider. No rush though, the deal is good the rest of the year. I wanna wait and make sure I'm not getting it for BC only for the BC games to have issues with the emulator later on.

You know, I might just get this. Add it to muh gears games. Don't know if I'll play it though.

I already own all the GeoW games back when they were brand new and got them again free with GWG...I might pick GeoW1 remaster up on the cheap down the road.

I was disappointed with the Xbone GeoW1 Beta, too many GeoW3-isms. 7-8 range for me.

I see I'm voting against the grain here since I see a lot of 8's/AAs and 9's/AAAs though.

This could end up a flop which is strange, but then again this is a brand new developer. People remember GeoW but they remember EPIC's GeoW games. This is a brand new developer, an opening act, "The Coalition's" take on EPIC's original 2006 game. Not the same thing at all. Following devs pays off, plus the Beta was unimpressive including the old pop in and forcing GeoW3's Team Deathmatch (Call of Duty fans, play GeoW now!!!!) for shits and giggles which is a terrible mode for GeoW. Original GeoW fans wouldn't and shouldn't be pleased that Warzone and Execution were not in the Beta.

It plays like Gears 3.

Did they really? the footage I saw looked so slow and clunky that it reminded me of gears 1 almost entirely.

I was in the beta. Gears 1 did age pretty badly, but it doesn't play like it at all anymore. Definitely is like Gears 3, and Gears 3 is gewd.

Movement speed was still slow though. I wonder if they changed it.

Yeah a little while ago I saw some mp footage and the slow movement speed always kind of annoyed me. It would be pretty hype if they changed it, I've never been a fan of feeling like I'm in control of a human tank.

Preorderd mine last night. Blah blah don't preorder. Yes I preorder games that I know I'm going to buy. I play all digital and like having them preloaded.

Yes they have more Gears Comics but I never bother to look into them. If you'll play Gears of War 3, the guy name Jace is in the Comics so I heard and he was awesome in it.

When it comes to pre-orders, I always do my research to get all the details I need before I pre-order a game and so far, it pays to do a lot of getting info. if you'll want to pre-order. That said, I also already pre-order the digital copy just for that pre-downloading and I also pre-order Halo 5 Limited Edition as well.
